Hermitix PodcastYes, I'm back on the Hermitix Podcast with host James Ellis.  The subject? The Cabala/Qabalah/Kabbalah. (The Semitic languages have sounds that don't transliterate well into Indo-European languages, which is why this word has so many spellings, and also why no two media outlets in Europe or American spelled the last name of Muammar Khaddafi the same way.) As always with Hermitix, it was a good lively conversation that covered a lot of ground. Interested? Check it out here on Podcasters and here on YouTube.

HierosTwo more podcasts have gone live for your listening pleasure. The first was kind of a special experience for me -- a conversation with Arthur Versluis and Christopher Macintosh. If you know your way around the last quarter century or so of writing on the Western esoteric traditions, you know both names; they're among the writers I studied closely when I was in the process of clawing my way up out of the mosh pit of practical occultism into the more refined balcony of occult philosophy. Our conversation was on paths forward into the future, and what the Western esoteric traditions have to offer along those lines; my book The King in Orange got a fair amount of discussion. Interested?  Check it out here.

HermitixThe second was equally pleasant but a little less unexpected, at least for me. I was back on the Hermitix podcast with host James Ellis, and the theme of the discussion was much the same: cycles of history, the writings of Oswald Spengler and Arnold Toynbee, and what we can expect as the United States and the modern world stumble blindly forward into a future for which very few people have made any preparations at all. You can take this one in on Spotify here, or on YouTube here.  Enjoy!

earth ancientsThe last month or so has been a little busier than usual on the podcast front, and I have two more podcasts for your listening pleasure.

First up is the Earth Ancients podcast with Cliff Dunning. Our topic of conversation was my book The Secret of the Temple, and more broadly the possibility that a forgotten archaic technology linked with temples and medieval churches might have been used to increase agricultural fertility in the past.  Regular listeners will recall the earlier conversation Cliff and I had about The Ceremony of the Grail; this one was just as lively and pleasant. You can give it a listen here,

HermitixSecond is another appearance on the Hermitix podcast with the ever-entertaining James Ellis. The theme for this episode was John Gilbert's book The Doors of Tarot, which I edited, and more generally the tarot, divination, and my experiences with John Gilbert and the occult traditions he passed on. As always, a good time was had by all,. You can check it out on Spotify here and on YouTube here.

ArcanvmThis week my latest  two podcasts went up. The first is with Peter Koronios of the Arcanvm Podcast; we had a lively and enjoyable hour of conversation covering quite a bit of ground -- Druidry, the magical side of environmentalism, and occult fiction, for starters. You can listen in on YouTube here.

HermitixThe second is another appearance on the Hermitix podcast with the ever-entertaining James Ellis. This conversation focused specifically on the newly released revised edition of A World Full of Gods, my book on polytheism as a live religious option in the present day. We had a constructive and at times intense conversation on the subject. You can listen in on Spotify here and on YouTube here.

Tim VenturaYes, I've been on several more podcasts of late, and two of them have been released. First up is a second interview with futurist and tech evangelist Tim Ventura on the subject of catabolic collapse, following on this first interview.  Tim has a solid business background and so gets the economic dimensions of the decline and fall of civilizations, ours very much included. We had a great talk, which you can enjoy on Youtube here.

HermitixSecond up is another lively conversation on Hermitix with host James Ellis. This time the subject is Druidry, in response to the publication of my recent intro to Druid spirituality, The Druid Path. If you've already listened to any Hermitix podcast you know you can expect an intense and thoughtful discussion.  If not, why, you're in for a treat. You can take it in here on Anchor.fm and here on YouTube. Enjoy!

HermitixThis has been a busy year for me when it comes to podcasts, and here are two more!  Both of them are on my book The Twilight of Pluto.

First, I'm back on the Hermitix podcast with host James, and we had as usual a great time getting deep into the implications of astrology and collective psychology. You can listen to it here on Anchor.fm and here on Youtube.

StargazerSecond, I was delighted to be on a new (for me) podcast, Stargazer, with host Rachel. She's a practicing astrologer with a fine grasp of the technical and spiritual sides of the science of the stars,. and we had a great conversation about Pluto's waning influence and the broader realm of mundane astrology. You can listen to it here

...and I'll be recording another podcast (not on The Twilight of Pluto later today. Interest in my ideas definitely seems to be heating up just now.

Hermitix WONOnce again I'm on the Hermitix podcast with host James Ellis, but this time we're talking about something a little different:  the economic ideas in my book The Wealth of Nature: Economics as if Survival Mattered, which is currently out of print but will be reprinted sometime soon (fingers crossed!) in a new edition from Founders House.

If you've followed my previous podcasts with James you know that it's a lively conversation covering a lot of ground. This time we talk about the incompetence of modern economic thought when that deals with nature, the difference between money and wealth, and a great deal more. Check it out here on Anchor.fm and here on YouTube.

HermitixI'm back on the Hermitix podcast again, talking with host James about my forthcoming book The King in Orange: The Magical and Occult Roots of Political Power (which will be out just over a month from now' you can read more about it here and preorder it here). As usual for this topic, it's a wide-ranging conversation about magic, politics, and American society. You can tune into the podcast via James' site here, or on YouTube here

HermitixNow available for your entertainment -- or annoyance, as the case may be! -- another Hermitix podcast featuring me and ever-affable host James Ellis. The subject this time is my newly (re)published book The UFO Chronicles, and we plunge straight into the heart of the UFO phenomenon, where alien civilizations in nuts-and-bolts spacecraft are few and far between, but science fiction, shamanic experiences, and secret Air Force projects are as common as Spock ears at a Trekkie convention.

Interested?  You can listen to it on the Hermitix website here:

King in OrangeJust when you thought it was safe to go back on the internet...

Yes, it's me again on the Hermitix podcast, with host James Ellis, talking about the eldritch, rugose, squamous horror that is the political system of the United States, with a focus on that dread being whose mere name is able to strike madness and terror into the minds of pundits, celebrities, and people who thought they were opposed to hatred until 2016. Yes, James and I spoke aloud of Donald Trump, the King in Orange, and lived to tell the tale.

Are you prepared to see the Orange Sign, sound the cloudy depths of Demhe, and watch the cloud waves break on the black shores of Carcosa -- or at least to hear a discussion of American politics that flings down the conventional wisdom and dances on its tattered orange robes? Here's the link to the program on the Hermitix site, and here's a link to the program on YouTube.

HermitixI know a lot of people are having to struggle to keep afloat in the current crisis. Among them is James, the host of the Hermitix podcast on which I've appeared fairly regularly. The joinery company that provided him with his day job has gone out of business, and he's hoping to make lemonade out of that particular lemon by making the transition to full-time podcasting. If you enjoy offbeat podcasts featuring thoughtful one-on-one interviews with figures on the fringes, and have a little spare change each month, consider becoming a patron of his via his Patreon account at https://www.patreon.com/hermitix

If it's any incentive, here are the four podcasts I've done with James so far:

Collapse and Occultism (23 February 2019)

Occultism 101 (14 September 2019)

H.P. Lovecraft and Horror (22 December 2019)

Coronavirus and Collapse (21 March 2020)

HermitixPodcast fans may be interested to know that I'm the featured guest on a new episode of the Hermitix podcast. The subject is the current CoVID-19 coronavirus outbreak -- well, that's where the conversation begins and ends, but if you've listened to my other podcasts at Hermitix you already know to expect a lot of strange territory in the middle, and you won't be disappointed in that expectation. Enjoy!

Hermitix logoYes, I was back on the Hermitix podcast a little while back, and as usual had a great time.  This show, as usual, we covered a lot of ground, but most of it circled (or rather oozed rugosely) around The Weird of Hali, my seven-volume epic fantasy with tentacles, and the considerable interfaces between that set of linked tales and the occult traditions that I study and practice. If you're shuddering in horror at the thought of having to put up with one more round of plastic holiday cheer, it may be just the incantation you're looking for. Check it out here. In the meantime, a carol to warm your hearts:

"It's the most tentacled time of the year,
There'll be cultists invoking
With howling and croaking
That fills you with fear --
It's the most tentacled time of the year."

(Still working on the other verses..)
