Open (More or Less) Post on Covid 200

We are now approaching the end of the fourth year of these open posts. When I first posted a tentative hypothesis on the course of the Covid phenomenon, I had no idea that discussion on the subject would still be necessary all these years later, much less that it would turn into so lively, complex, and troubling a conversation. Still, here we are. Crude death rates and other measures of collapsing public health are anomalously high in many countries, but nobody in authority wants to talk about the inadequately tested experimental Covid injections that are the most likely cause; public health authorities government shills for the pharmaceutical industry are still trying to push through laws that will allow them to force vaccinations on anyone they want; public trust in science is collapsing; and the story continues to unfold.

So it's time for another open post. The rules are the same as before:

1. If you plan on parroting the party line of the medical industry and its paid shills, please go away. This is a place for people to talk openly, honestly, and freely about their concerns that the party line in question is dangerously flawed and that actions being pushed by the medical industry and its government enablers are causing injury and death on a massive scale. It is not a place for you to dismiss those concerns. Anyone who wants to hear the official story and the arguments in favor of it can find those on hundreds of thousands of websites.

2. If you plan on insisting that the current situation is the result of a deliberate plot by some villainous group of people or other, please go away. There are tens of thousands of websites currently rehashing various conspiracy theories about the Covid-19 outbreak and the vaccines. This is not one of them. What we're exploring is the likelihood that what's going on is the product of the same arrogance, incompetence, and corruption that the medical industry and its wholly owned politicians have displayed so abundantly in recent decades. That possibility deserves a space of its own for discussion, and that's what we're doing here. 
 
3. If you plan on using rent-a-troll derailing or disruption tactics, please go away. I'm quite familiar with the standard tactics used by troll farms to disrupt online forums, and am ready, willing, and able -- and in fact quite eager -- to ban people permanently for engaging in them here. Oh, and I also lurk on other Covid-19 vaccine skeptic blogs, so I'm likely to notice when the same posts are showing up on more than one venue. 

4. If you plan on making off topic comments, please go away. This is an open post for discussion of the Covid epidemic, the vaccines, drugs, policies, and other measures that supposedly treat it, and other topics directly relevant to those things. It is not a place for general discussion of unrelated topics. Nor is it a place to ask for medical advice; giving such advice, unless you're a licensed health care provider, legally counts as practicing medicine without a license and is a crime in the US. Don't even go there.

5. If you don't believe in treating people with common courtesy, please go away. I have, and enforce, a strict courtesy policy on my blogs and online forums, and this is no exception. The sort of schoolyard bullying that takes place on so many other internet forums will get you deleted and banned here. Also, please don't drag in current quarrels about sex, race, religions, etc. No, I don't care if you disagree with that: my journal, my rules. 

6. Please don't just post bare links without explanation. A sentence or two telling readers what's on the other side of the link is a reasonable courtesy, and if you don't include it, your attempted post will be deleted.

Please also note that nothing posted here should be construed as medical advice, which neither I nor the commentariat (excepting those who are licensed medical providers) are qualified to give. Please take your medical questions to the licensed professional provider of your choice.

I went to see my OB/GYN yesterday, and she mentioned that our state (Florida) has changed the number of mandatory syphilis screenings performed on maternity patients from 2 to 3.

Apparently the cases of congenital syphilis are on the rise across the US. The blame is being laid on the usual bugaboos - poor screening, lack of açcess to healthcare, online dating, drug use, etc - but I also have to wonder how much of this is related to the general immune decline that much of the populace seems to be experiencing.

The Big 2-0-0 ... a somber milestone indeed.

Just got back from an out-of-state visit with my sister. She had recently heard somewhere (probably Faceplant) about a case of someone who had stage 4 cancer, started taking vitamin I, and went into near-full remission. (This is a fifteenth-hand anecdote and should not be construed as medical advice, just as an allegation.) Anyway, her friend has a relative who now has stage 4 popcorn cancer (it popped up all over his body all at once), and they are fairly desperate. My sister intends to send her friend info about vitamin I, just to try. (nothing to lose, right?)

Apparently we are all right wing people if we consider alternative health treatments, who knew... lol. Anyway outside of the clear attempt at tarring the vitamin I with political yuck and a turning of nose by our betters it actually is pretty clear on why people might have looked into it.

"Their underlying pitch has become familiar in the past few years: Health experts can’t be trusted; the pharmaceutical industry is suppressing cheap cures; and patients deserve the liberty to choose their own medical interventions."

It also admits that there has been some successful use for cancer and is widely used in other countries for other purposes.

The only argument that they seemed to have against it was at the end "The more benefits that such a drug provides, he told the audience in Stockholm, “the more we must guard against the hazards of indiscriminate use.”"

Which may or may not be true depending on how or what exactly vitamin I is doing. I can't really say but I do know that for parasite purposes it is best to rotate approaches to avoid tolerance building up in a population. Given the current non-parasite applications I am not sure the same biological pressure to evolve would be in place.

In the end though while I think the article does a better job promoting vitamin I and maybe even that we should take more ownership of our own health there is a line that could be crossed where it is treated as a hope and prayer for any ailment. Yes even in cases where a placebo effect could be a benefit there is harm to people not considering the downsides or other treatments because of that hope in a cure all miracle.

I haven't seen this mentioned elsewhere, but I'm wondering with RFK Jr.'s appointment, et. al., and Bernie Sander's sponsoring the advertising ban for prescription drugs, we are surely seeing other business elites turning against the pharmaceutical/medical industrial complex for being too greedy. Too many costs from what this industry does has been loaded on all other industries. And we know elites in general took the Covid shots and they know they have been fracked.

I sorted of semi-accepted the idea that this was strictly populist with the appointments, but now with what Bernie has done, after going after RFK Jr. in the confirmation, tells me he has gotten new marching orders.

I noticed on a recent travel vlog that Ryan Air is demanding passengers wear MASKS when boarding, or they'll turn you away!!!

Any sin of this on other airlines?

Ludicrously, the airports involved had no mask mandates: wander around a packed terminal no mask, get on a plane, mask up! Back to crazy ville 2020......

I had to take international plane rides in 2020 and 2021, and among all of the other ridiculousness, they asked passengers to space out 6ft apart when disembarking (i.e. walking down the aisle toward the exit) and walking through the terminal. You know, so you don't catch something from the people that you had been sitting 2ft away from for the last 12hrs.

Some days it seems like nothing has changed since this forum started. Some days it seems like we've arrived on a new planet.

I am wondering if "the narrative" is finally going to get its fatal crack sometime this year if and when pharmaceutical advertising gets banned. Don't anyone tell me not to hold my breath, I'm not holding my breath.

Hello All: Seeing that this is the 200th post makes me glad that we have a place where we may still discuss the wild vageries of the Coronaverse, but sad that there is still a need for it. JMG, thanks very much for your continued hosting and moderating.

A few data points from a leftish area of right US state.

More people in general seem to be noticing all the illness that abounds. There are more comments made in passing about this. Plus I am seeing a bit more thoughtful attention paid to this too.

A friend of my teen wasn't allowed to attend a birthday sleepover. The friend"s younger siblings keep getting sick so mom said no socializing until after a certain date.

A friend of my spouse is beginning to wonder why their spouse and kids keep getting sick, as it doesn't seem like a normal amount.

Lots of people are dealing with cancer and heart and stroke issues too. But I haven't heard anyone in my communities comment on the high number of people suffering from these problems.

BY conincidence, I was just watching the latest video from Lionel Sanders on YT, a top class Ironman triathlete.

He's injured again, and now the reason given, or what they think is the cause, is RED-S, relative energy deficiency. This is a professional athlete pretty much near the top of the sport for over a decade, if there was Red-S issues, they tend to occur in the early years of any endurance athlete's career, not near the end. He's just had a serious of weird bone/stress issues over the last couple of years too... how does one explain that their bloodflow has been impacted by microclots?

Oh and he voices extreme frustration that he's gotten sick 10 times in the last 15 months. This is a guy that used to compete week in and week out for months on end. Something seems to have done a number on his immune system, eh? That's happening to quite a lot of the folks in the pro ranks who post regular video updates (part of the new trend to help increase their brand awareness and sponsorship opportunities)... they are definitely getting sick way more often than they should.

The top american Ironman was this guy called Tim O'Donnell, who came in 2nd in the 2019 world champs in Kona. Couple years after that, he has a heart attack near the end of a race... made it to the hospital and of course hasn't been the same since then. Just last year, Elly Henes, a promosing up and coming female distance runner, had a collapsed lung while training in Flagstaff. Point being, bone/stress fractures seem to be increasing a lot - all signs of microclots impacting bloodflow. Heart attacks are happening to athletes who have been training seriously since their teens. Frequent illnesses are now the norm, these are folks who are very careful of their training loads, diet and recovery.. Then you get the weird stuff like lung collapse out of nowhere. Those are just a quick few off the top of my head, as I follow a number of endurance sport athletes to get training insights.

Rintrah is closing his blog, and says he no longer identifies with a lot of what he wrote.

I first came across his blog in 2021, and at this point he was writing a lot of excellent articles about the vaccines. He was one of the best writers on this topic at the time, and clearly had a lot of talent in how he was able to synthesise and explain the science.

But then he went over to the dark side and started to write a lot of extreme virus doom stuff, which continued until recently. He wrote about how the monkey pox could end up evolving into the next smallpox. He wrote about the bird flu. In particular, he came under the influence of GVB's theories and started writing about the spike mutations and deadly variants.

It was a real waste of talent that Rintrah went in this direction. I think GVB's theories were a Trojan horse with the aim of slipping covid doom talking points into the covid sceptic community. Basically trying to make us believe that covid was still a dangerous virus, but with a twist ... that only those who had taken the vaccine were at risk. I think this served the purpose of both continuing the fear-mongering around the virus, and diverting attention from all the damage caused by the vaccines and putting the blame back onto the virus.

To the massive fear propaganda campaign around covid (which included the GVB stuff) there was only ever one proper response - reject the fear!

Rintrah was relatively young, made some money from crypto which gave him a sense that he would always have a leg up from the plebs, and then started indulging a lot in mushrooms. We'd already noted his downward spiral more than 2 years ago, I believe...

GVB was 'wrong' in the sense that his thesis was that a variant would come along and would be extremely lethal to the vexed. In that sense he totally missed the forest AND the trees, as right off the bat, we had anecdotes whereby the vexed were getting the coof more often, and each episode woould be much worse than the last one etc, while the unvexed may get it once every couple of years. The spike protein that was encoded in the original mRNA was nasty stuff by itself... so we don't need all the variants touted by the media to make things worse, as that was part of the general MSM narrative... fear variant X, or Y .. or Z. They went through a ton of names... is anyone still tracking?

GVB also kept yakking that one should be on prophylactic antivirals... whether vexed or unvexed. He was quite adamant on that ... and I took it as code the folks should be using VIM. He just didn't dare to come right out and say it for fear of getting cancelled. So I never saw him as propagating fear.... just trying in his own way to get people to understand the immune stress that they're in and the urgent need to alleviate that preemptively.

That was my last impression of GVB from over a year ago... if he's gone full-on fear mode with no caveats, please correct me.
