...and a new podcast featuring JMG alongside Josh Woods, host of The Monster Professor. We talk about magic, monstrous beings, Druidry, and the way that Western occultism has been erased from conventional ideas of history. It was a great conversation; check it out here.
I listened to this while fencing for the cows, very nice conversation! Ecosophia could use a update for all recent podcasts (if there are more) only a bunch from 2017 is listed as it is now.
I remember you telling you no longer follow the monsters area, but would you change anything in the basic structure in the beginning of the book, which explains how monsters work, from a Western magic perspective?
Very excited to hear you will be working on a magical history of America! I’m trying to add works of American history to my bookshelf that explore these forgotten, or intentionally ignored, aspects of our history. Hoping to make these a good alternative to the garbage my kids will most likely be taught in school when they get a bit older, if my experience is anything to go by.
That's a project I've been considering for some time, and as soon as I've cleared away some revisions for new editions of old books, it's going on the front burner.
This summer our tour boat company started a joint tour with our local Providence ghost tour company, and I'm the lead captain. When I began telling friends that it would be coming soon, many people told me about experiences they had, mostly with poltergeists. None of them had mentioned it before, but once I brought it up, they felt that I was safe enough to admit it.
