memeAs we move into the second year of these open posts, it's pretty clear that the official narrative is cracking as the toll of deaths and injuries from the Covid vaccines rises steadily and the vaccines themselves demonstrate their total uselesness at preventing Covid infection or transmission. It's still important to keep watch over the mis-, mal- and nonfeasance of our self-proclaimed health gruppenfuehrers, and the disastrous results of the Covid mania, but I think it's also time to begin thinking about what might be possible as the existing medical industry reels under the impact of its own self-inflicted injuries.

(Yes, the change in image theme reflects that; the earlier sequence served its purpose. With a nod to El Gato Malo (1, 2, 3), the posts to come will be headed by thoughtful memes relevant to the Covid mess. Yes, I'll take nominations -- you can post links in the thread.)

So it's time for another open post. The rules are the same as before:

1. If you plan on parroting the party line of the medical industry and its paid shills, please go away. This is a place for people to talk openly, honestly, and freely about their concerns that the party line in question is dangerously flawed and that actions being pushed by the medical industry et al. are causing injury and death. It is not a place for you to dismiss those concerns. Anyone who wants to hear the official story and the arguments in favor of it can find those on hundreds of thousands of websites.

2. If you plan on insisting that the current situation is the result of a deliberate plot by some villainous group of people or other, please go away. There are tens of thousands of websites currently rehashing various conspiracy theories about the Covid-19 outbreak and the vaccines. This is not one of them. What we're exploring is the likelihood that what's going on is the product of the same arrogance, incompetence, and corruption that the medical industry and its tame politicians have displayed so abundantly in recent decades. That possibility deserves a space of its own for discussion, and that's what we're doing here.

3. If you plan on using rent-a-troll derailing or disruption tactics, please go away. I'm quite familiar with the standard tactics used by troll farms to disrupt online forums, and am ready, willing, and able -- and in fact quite eager -- to ban people permanently for engaging in them here. Oh, and I also lurk on other Covid-19 vaccine skeptic blogs, so I'm likely to notice when the same posts are showing up on more than one venue.

4. If you don't believe in treating people with common courtesy, please go away. I have, and enforce, a strict courtesy policy on my blogs and online forums, and this is no exception. The sort of schoolyard bullying that takes place on so many other internet forums will get you deleted and banned here. No, I don't care if you disagree with that: my journal, my rules.

With that said, the floor is open for discussion.

I completely agree and I wish all the non-breathing people a long un-life!

On a more serious note, this is the second time in my life that I went through an experience that makes me less empathetic.

First was on getting a good job and having to stop giving money to friends/family that were abusing my niceness. I started looking differently at people suffering then - I stopped seeing most of them as victims of the society. It is part of growing up but it is painful nonetheless.

Second time is now seeing all the foxed treating death so casually. Same people that were willing to lock me up or segregate me "to protect granma", now seem perfectly fine with healthy kids dying in their sleep.
I find myself, just like you, becoming more callous to their lives. Seeing all the SADS notices does not impact me anymore. People make choices and then live with them (or not as the case may be).

Is this also part of growing up? Accepting that I cannot do anything when people want to commit suicide? After all, I believe in free will for myself so I have to believe in their free will too.

I'm having a similar feeling. Free will means free will. You take the good, you take the bad, you take them both and there you have the facts of life.

That said...it's very hard having so many people in my life, who make my life better, who've happily taken in the goo. If they go, my life, by definition, will be worse. As will theirs. It's hard to get zen with that. Real hard.

My big clue by 4 on that was an ex girlfriend. You can’t make someone happy. You can help. And you can’t save someone who doesn’t want to be saved. You can try and try and try and all it does is leave you burned out and both of you resentful. God that was a hard lesson and I learned it in the school of hard knocks, I even repeated that course several times. I prefer to save myself for when they actually want to change.

I don’t know that it’s part of growing up, but it is part of getting used to things. Exposure breeds normality.

Meaning it’s perfectly normal in a drug community to watch people shoot up/snort/get high etc. It’s only when an outsider comes in that it’s possible to see how not normal things are. So even though watching people take drugs was normal to me doesn’t mean it was normal to…normies. That doesn’t mean I was maturing in any meaningful way.
