It's a little past midnight as I type this, so here we go with a new Magic Monday. This week's classic book of Western occultism is The Middle Pillar by Israel Regardie. Regardie's a major presence in modern occult literature, and one of his other books has been featured in an upcoming Magic Monday, but this one also deserves a place; it's the book that introduced the most widely practiced system of internal energy work in modern ceremonial magic, and has earned a place as a classic. (For best results, read it along with Regardie's fine little essay The Art of True Healing and Dion Fortune's The Circuit of Force.)
