Open (More or Less) Post on Covid 209

We are now into the fifth year of these open posts. When I first posted a tentative hypothesis on the course of the Covid phenomenon, I had no idea that discussion on the subject would still be necessary all these years later, much less that it would turn into so lively, complex, and troubling a conversation. Still, here we are. Crude death rates and other measures of collapsing public health remain anomalously high in many countries, but nobody in authority wants to talk about the inadequately tested experimental Covid injections that are the most likely cause; public health authorities government shills for the pharmaceutical industry are still trying to push through laws that will allow them to force vaccinations on anyone they want; public trust in science is collapsing; new revelations are leaking out about just how bad the Covid vaccines are for human health; and the story continues to unfold.

So it's time for another open post. The rules have been slightly expanded due to a recent discussion here:

1. If you plan on parroting the party line of the medical industry and its paid shills, please go away. This is a place for people to talk openly, honestly, and freely about their concerns that the party line in question is dangerously flawed and that actions being pushed by the medical industry and its government enablers are causing injury and death on a massive scale. It is not a place for you to dismiss those concerns. Anyone who wants to hear the official story and the arguments in favor of it can find those on hundreds of thousands of websites.

2. If you plan on insisting that the current situation is the result of a deliberate plot by some villainous group of people or other, please go away. There are tens of thousands of websites currently rehashing various conspiracy theories about the Covid-19 outbreak and the vaccines. This is not one of them. What we're exploring is the likelihood that what's going on is the product of the same arrogance, incompetence, and corruption that the medical industry and its wholly owned politicians have displayed so abundantly in recent decades. That possibility deserves a space of its own for discussion, and that's what we're doing here. 
 
3. If you plan on using rent-a-troll derailing or disruption tactics, please go away. I'm quite familiar with the standard tactics used by troll farms to disrupt online forums, and am ready, willing, and able -- and in fact quite eager -- to ban people permanently for engaging in them here. Oh, and I also lurk on other Covid-19 vaccine skeptic blogs, so I'm likely to notice when the same posts are showing up on more than one venue. 

4. If you plan on making off topic comments, please go away. This is an open post for discussion of the Covid epidemic, the vaccines, drugs, policies, and other measures that supposedly treat it, and other topics directly relevant to those things. It is not a place for general discussion of unrelated topics. Nor is it a place to ask for medical advice; giving such advice, unless you're a licensed health care provider, legally counts as practicing medicine without a license and is a crime in the US. Don't even go there.

5. If you don't believe in treating people with common courtesy, please go away. I have, and enforce, a strict courtesy policy on my blogs and online forums, and this is no exception. The sort of schoolyard bullying that takes place on so many other internet forums will get you deleted and banned here. Also, please don't drag in current quarrels about sex, race, religions, etc. No, I don't care if you disagree with that: my journal, my rules. 

6. Please don't just post bare links without explanation. A sentence or two telling readers what's on the other side of the link is a reasonable courtesy, and if you don't include it, your attempted post will be deleted.

7. Please don't post LLM ("AI") generated text. This is a place for human beings to talk to other human beings, not for the regurgitation of machine-generated text. Also, please don't discuss large language models (the technology popularly and inaccurately called "artificial intelligence" these days) except as they bear directly on the Covid phenomenon. Here again, my finger is hovering over the delete button.

Hello All,

I took a very quick business trip from Sunday to Monday. Here are my observations:

Many people, especially flight attendants, wearing masks in both airports (ATL and IAD).

Not sure if it is me, but people seem strangely numb and calm. We had to divert due to weather and nobody really seemed to care. I was bouncing all over the place to get information from the cockpit. Everyone sat quietly and didn't seem bothered. Sort of resigned.

My manager's plane had to make an emergency landing because someone passed in the airplane bathroom. (I am sorry for this person, not the way you imagine your last moments).

Yesterday was truly a strange and heavy day.

I wonder if the beat down of the past several years has left a huge number of people numb and calm. Might demoralized fit here, too? As for dying in an airplane bathroom, just wow. It's a good thing, IMHO, we get the next line in our script bit by bit. Like others, I hope my end is swift and merciful. And not in a public restroom. But like the unfortunate person on your manager's plane, we get what we get.

The covid jabs' carnage and suffering continues. I could report the latest details in my family and among neighbors and colleagues, but I'll skip it, it's awful, but nothing you haven't heard already many times.

I'd hoped that I'd avoid the cooties jab-injured family stories in my world, but likely not. Mid-fifties BIL, who lined up for at least most of the boosters, was alerted by his watch last week that his heartbeat is irregular. He can feel it fluttering, I am told. Not one to visit doctors generally, he booked an appointment. More testing. Could it be not related to the shots? Sure, but he's not that old, and is reasonably fit. We're not close, but I am so sorry all the same.

Hi everyone,

My wife wants to vaccinate our children with a range of childhood vaccines. I'm kind of... how do they call it? hesitant. I'm scared of the vaccines but don't want to blanket reject all of them just based on a general uninformed sense of possible harm and doubtful usefulness. Does anyone have a good source of information regarding the pros and cons of specific vaccines? She is talking about DTPaHibVIPVHB, VASPR, and Pn20.

One of my elderly (somewhere in her 90s) neighbors, a friend of mine, took a fall but did not hit her head, so at first she wasn't taken to the hospital. The next thing I know, she IS in the hospital - and diagnosed with COVID. My informants are emphasizing the COVID, but I don't know whether it was before or after the fact. The latest word is, she'll be going into rehab to get her strength back - a strength she didn't have much of to begin with it's a major effort to pull herself out of a bus seat using her arms, and she never wants any help with it.

I'm asking prayers to Ina Brown, that she get well, and that the hospital helps, and doesn't make matters worse.

I listened to public school teachers recently saying that the lack of concern for teachers’ lives during COVID and how they were prematurely forced back into the schools was evidence of how little the public values their profession. There’s some Olympic-level delusion out there still. Very few true believers seem to acknowledge that they might have been wrong.

Out and about today, I noticed that the local Albertson's supermarket had a banner by the door trying to entice people to get flu shots: Up to $20 off your grocery bill per flu shot.

This reminds me of the shameful, cheap bribes used to push the cooties shots. It also causes me to think that the vaccination business generally is not the trusted behemoth it once was.

The nytimes published a bizarre hit piece on Secretary Kennedy today titled, "The Playbook Used to 'Prove' Vaccines Cause Autism."

The piece was written by Jessica Steier, who is a mercenary for the pharmaceutical industry. Her science-for-hire organization, "Unbiased Science," uses a number of pass-through organizations to launder contributions from large pharmaceutical and chemical companies. But we can still figure out a lot of her funders. She advises an infant formula company and is an affiliate for a company that makes Monosodium glutamate (MSG). Her podcast has taken money from 3M, Proctor & Gamble, Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, Novartis, Moderna, and CSL Seqirus (a flu vaccine manufacturer).

Steier is cartoonishly evil. From SourceWatch:

The Unbiased Science Podcast has described the herbicide glyphosate as "safe for use," declared polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) in Teflon to be "non-toxic to humans," called the Environmental Working Group Dirty Dozen list of produce with the most and least pesticide residues "a fear-based marketing ploy," claimed GMOs are "safe" "nutritious" and "beneficial to consumers, producers and the environment," and called hydrogenated oil "a safe dietary fat."

The Podcast recorded two episodes on organic food and farming in December 2022 and January 2023 where they discuss organic pesticides and claim they are more harmful than synthetic pesticides used in chemical farming...

Andrea C. Love [Steier's co-host] has defended aspartame as "safe," said in an interview that she has "at least one diet soda a day," and the Podcast has posted on Instagram that "Aspartame does not post a health risk to humans, cancer or otherwise, especially at levels we would consume." She and Steier have been openly critical of the International Agency for Research on Cancer's ranking of the chemical as "possibly carcinogenic to humans" in 2023.

It's interesting that the NY Times commissioned someone with such obvious conflicts of interest to write this piece. It appears that there are no actual scholars willing to defend the vaccine program at this point. I call upon the publisher of the NY Times to retract this piece because of Steier's failure to disclose her blatant conflicts of interest. Also, the editor who commissioned this piece should be fired because it's a paid advertorial disguised as an opinion piece and the NY Times failed to disclose its own conflicts of interest.

I noticed a peculiarity, so this is anectada, that the waxxine hurt primarily children that are born to older parents. My theory is that older parents transmit a lot of immune information to the children.

I also wonder if the waxxine hurt more the people with better immune systems.

Apologies if this has been discussed before, but does anyone have any good links to the issue of people dying unexpectedly in their sleep? Just not waking up one morning? Is there any evidence that it's increasing in prevalence, and if so, if it is linked to the jabs, and if so, by what mechanism? Is anyone studying this?

It seems to be happening a lot more in recent years...and yeah, I just heard about another one.

While this is often listed as people's first choice for death I only know of a few who died this way and all the younger people were victims of heat illness. They took a nap after working in the sun and didn't wake up. That combination of dehydration and elevated body temperature is very bad.

That said the Japanese are apparently releasing their data and a correlation may be found there.

Second Covid Infection

Hello,

Three years ago I got covid for the first time and notated on a comment the symptoms and how they came about one at a time rather than say a normal cold where one gets hit with all the symptoms at once.

I just got over my second covid infection in three years. This time the symptoms matched the previous bout exactly though each set of symptoms was a bit shorter in duration and my body cleared the whole infection a few days quicker than before.

First was feeling slightly off last Monday which progressed to a 101 degree fever overnight. The fever went away the next morning. Later on the second day, the sore throat started creeping in and this lasted for 1.5 days. Was pretty sore, however it was less in intensity than my first bout of covid, also this time the head congestion started while the sore throat was on it's way out rather than being a completely separate set of symptoms. The head cold and congestion lasted about 2.5 days and than basically stopped. No fatigue or tiredness issues at all. All in all it was about 8 days total before testing negative on a home test, where the first bout was about 10-12 days total. The body learns as does the virus itself.

46/m unvaxxed. Get sick rarely, maybe something once every 2-3 years.

The world is still split on this issue. The idea that the waxxine was dangerous is not officially accepted in any country AFAIK, and this because of the consequences economical and political.

Take Russia as an example, it had it's own waxxine and is not friendly with the West and AFAIK I saw at some point discussion in Russian TG channels that I've seen at some point that Russian truckers that worked with Europe have a lot of Problem also medics that recommended the Western waxxines would not lile to have consequences for their decisions so no one rocks the boat. Looks like some sort of a silent consensus between elites, in all countries.

TL:DR: Mortality is WAY UP among 25-44 age group, in the US, *since covid*. We have NO IDEA why, but because we are Slate, we propose it's because there is something uniquely bad about America, and wouldn't have happened if all our working-age folks had been living in some more civilized country like Norway or something.
