science then and nowWe are now into the fifth year of these open posts. When I first posted a tentative hypothesis on the course of the Covid phenomenon, I had no idea that discussion on the subject would still be necessary all these years later, much less that it would turn into so lively, complex, and troubling a conversation. Still, here we are. Crude death rates and other measures of collapsing public health remain anomalously high in many countries, but nobody in authority wants to talk about the inadequately tested experimental Covid injections that are the most likely cause; public health authorities government shills for the pharmaceutical industry are still trying to push through laws that will allow them to force vaccinations on anyone they want; public trust in science is collapsing; new revelations are leaking out about just how bad the Covid vaccines are for human health; and the story continues to unfold.

So it's time for another open post. The rules have been slightly expanded due to a recent discussion here:

1. If you plan on parroting the party line of the medical industry and its paid shills, please go away. This is a place for people to talk openly, honestly, and freely about their concerns that the party line in question is dangerously flawed and that actions being pushed by the medical industry and its government enablers are causing injury and death on a massive scale. It is not a place for you to dismiss those concerns. Anyone who wants to hear the official story and the arguments in favor of it can find those on hundreds of thousands of websites.

2. If you plan on insisting that the current situation is the result of a deliberate plot by some villainous group of people or other, please go away. There are tens of thousands of websites currently rehashing various conspiracy theories about the Covid-19 outbreak and the vaccines. This is not one of them. What we're exploring is the likelihood that what's going on is the product of the same arrogance, incompetence, and corruption that the medical industry and its wholly owned politicians have displayed so abundantly in recent decades. That possibility deserves a space of its own for discussion, and that's what we're doing here.

3. If you plan on using rent-a-troll derailing or disruption tactics, please go away. I'm quite familiar with the standard tactics used by troll farms to disrupt online forums, and am ready, willing, and able -- and in fact quite eager -- to ban people permanently for engaging in them here. Oh, and I also lurk on other Covid-19 vaccine skeptic blogs, so I'm likely to notice when the same posts are showing up on more than one venue.

4. If you plan on making off topic comments, please go away. This is an open post for discussion of the Covid epidemic, the vaccines, drugs, policies, and other measures that supposedly treat it, and other topics directly relevant to those things. It is not a place for general discussion of unrelated topics. Nor is it a place to ask for medical advice; giving such advice, unless you're a licensed health care provider, legally counts as practicing medicine without a license and is a crime in the US. Don't even go there.

5. If you don't believe in treating people with common courtesy, please go away. I have, and enforce, a strict courtesy policy on my blogs and online forums, and this is no exception. The sort of schoolyard bullying that takes place on so many other internet forums will get you deleted and banned here. Also, please don't drag in current quarrels about sex, race, religions, etc. No, I don't care if you disagree with that: my journal, my rules.

6. Please don't just post bare links without explanation. A sentence or two telling readers what's on the other side of the link is a reasonable courtesy, and if you don't include it, your attempted post will be deleted.

7. Please don't post LLM ("AI") generated text. This is a place for human beings to talk to other human beings, not for the regurgitation of machine-generated text. Also, please don't discuss large language models (the technology popularly and inaccurately called "artificial intelligence" these days) except as they bear directly on the Covid phenomenon. Here again, my finger is hovering over the delete button.

Please also note that nothing posted here should be construed as medical advice, which neither I nor the commentariat (excepting those who are licensed medical providers) are qualified to give. Please take your medical questions to the licensed professional provider of your choice.

With that said, the floor is open for discussion.

Another 'Conspiracy Theory' Proven Correct

Date: 2025-08-12 08:58 pm (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
I'm not sure if down in 'Murica voice was given that after the 'Cooties lockdown' there will be 'climate lockdowns' but in Canuckistan this has been a major 'conspiracy theory' ever since the Cooties lockdown came to a close. And, like so many other 'conspiracy theories', this has been proven to be prescient.

Enter the Climate Lockdowns.

Late last week the Premier (equivalent to a state Governor) of Nova Scotia declared that due to the summer drought and the high risk of forest fires, nobody is allowed to go 'into the woods' for any purpose whatsoever. No camping. No fishing. No hiking. Nothing. And not just on government (up here it is called 'Crown') lands; no, this decree applies to public property. So if your farm has a 'back 40' of forested land, you can't enter it. And if one is so foolish as to disobey the decree it will set you back a cool $25,000! Shortly afterwards, the premiers of two other Atlantic provinces (New Brunswick and Newfoundland) made similar bans. Newfoundland even upped the ante: miscreants can be fined up to $150k and/or spend a year in jail. Oddly enough, the punishment for arson in Canada (which is the cause of the vast majority of forest fires in Atlantic Canada) is very light...

Well, this has not been greeted with much cheer by hapless Nova Scotians. And so The Great Pushback began almost immediately. On August 8, Afghanistan War Veteran Jeff Evely of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, posted a video mocking the arbitrariness of the taped off woodland paths in his area; by Canadian standards (700k views as of the weekend) it went viral. Then the next day (August 9) he went to his local provincial Natural Resources office to state that he was going to go walking in the woods behind the office and if they would be so kind as to issue him a ticket he would be much obliged. They took up Jeff's offer and slapped a $28,872.50 fine on him for taking 13 steps into some thick bushes. This was all video recorded by Jeff, so he now has good solid evidence for his inevitable court hearing (his summons date is September 12). It was a text-book civil disobedience act which would have earned 'two thumbs up' from Mahatma Gandhi! Constitutional and civil rights lawyers across the country are practically killing each other in the hope of taking Jeff on as a client!

For those who 'do' video, one can watch the whole scene here, from 11:30 to 18:10: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qkRUP65W_JQ. The whole 24-minute video, in my opinion, is worth watching.

Since then, more than 100 persons in Nova Scotia have been fined for walking in the woods.

Now there is a 'Cooties connection' to all this. Jeff Evely was very much present at the Freedom Convoy, including taking down the barricade around Ottawa's Cenotaph and Tomb of the Unknown Soldier as well as being part of the front line of military veterans who willfully accepted the assault of the militarized police on that fateful day of February 19, 2022. In the above linked video, Jeff explains the link: he said that during military training, all trainees had to swear an oath to disobey any order that they considered to be illegal or unjust. And he has taken that vow into his civilian life.

And just a footnote on the decree given by the witless premier of the neighbouring province of New Brunswick: when asked about the the dangers that walking and fishing pose to forest fires, she admitted that this was not the rationale. Rather, it is because emergency responders are so busy that if a person breaks their leg walking on a trail or a fishing boat capsizes in a pond, they will not be available to help. Ah - so, it is all for our safety! Funny how draconian decrees are always made for the sake of 'public safety', eh?

Honk honk!

Ron, thank you for another wonderful Canada update. Though I am Canadian I completely missed this story. Who knew, in 2025 it would be illegal to go walking in the woods?

I will keep my ears open for rumours of this kind of legislation coming to Ontario. Knowing, now, that the rumours are credible.

Canada is not a country, because its inhabitants have no common value. The government will redirect the anger of the population towards "nasty Trump across the border", but I doubt that strategy will work for too long.

So, the sooner the place breaks down into pieces, the better. If the process is delayed, the breakdown will go through a civil war IMHO.

Mandatory AI

My wife had to go to an appointment in the urgent care clinic because our doctor retired and there's a doctor shortage (all the ones who are accepting new patients are pill pushers). The doctor asked if it was okay if they used AI to take notes, and my wife refused. Well that opened up a ten minute lecture that comes down to "you should do what I say because I have a lab coat."

My wife still refused, and here's the kicker. Doctor snapped back that "By next year you won't have a choice!"

Obviously what the doctor doesn't see here is they are being replaced. First they force them to take notes and jam them up with work that an assistant could do, then they introduce AI that takes notes for them, and the next step is you don't need a doctor any more. Just talk to the bot that's been programmed by big pharma, hospital administration, and the insurance industry. It makes cost cutting across the board extremely easy. Just tell the bot that you need such-and-such revenue this quarter, and it instantly converts every exam table into Procrustean mode until the desired results are achieved.

Who do you sue when the bot kills one of your relatives? The hospital? The programmer? Are litigation costs now going to involve coding experts (work that bots are taking over) and argued by bot attorneys?

Stay healthy friends. It's probably your best defense at this point.

Yeah, it's pretty wild - and I am sure that the 'legacy media' (which I never pay attention to) has been ignoring it.

Here's an additional detail that I forgot in my initial report. So, as part of this draconian climate lockdown measure, the Nova Scotia government opened up a 'snitch line' (1-800-565-2224) to report those 'being in nature illegally'. Well, word has it that the line is either jammed or crashes constantly. Likely due to a ridiculously large number of calls. Does this mean that half of Nova Scotia's residents are eagerly ratting their neighbours out? I suspect not! Nearly all of Canada's best comedians come from 'down East' because they have a wickedly Celtic sense of humour (Nova Scotia has more fluent speakers of Gaelic than Scotland has!). I recall that just a year or so ago, the Government of Scotland came up with some new law that stated that every resident of the country had to report every pet that they had. And so the Scots over-obeyed by reporting every animal that they had ever owned - even dogs that died 30 years ago - and farmers reported every cow, horse, pig, chicken and duck (etc.) that they owned, by name! That requirement was promptly nixed - because the Scots made themselves ungovernable.

And for non-Canadians - keep your heads on a swivel! In 2022, the German Minister of Health (i.e., WEF puppet) stated in an interview: "The measures and personal freedom restrictions needed to contain the pandemic are also needed for climate change policy... In the coming climate crisis we could end up in a situation where we will have to prohibit certain things".

Well, to be a devil's advocate, AI might give you a more accurate diagnosis than your physician.
I am not all that impressed by the average GP. Many of them are in medicine because it has status, good pay, they were pressured into it by their familiy, and/ or they have the ability to pass the exams by cramming.

Once they have their MD, they are more interested in golf and an upper-end lifestyle than the real practice of mediciene, i.e., continuing to invest time in becoming skilled (and skeptical)in diagnosis and keeping up with the literature. Their knowlege of drugs is based on what corporate salemen tell them at medical conventions. After all, what is the basis of this long running website?

Some doctors are genuinely interested in medicine or want to promote human welfare, but for many it is (or has become) just a job. With the cases of mis-diagnosis one hears about, perhaps AI should not be dismissed out of hand.

The ban on land access reminds me of this 2021 book (discussed here at the time): The Devouring Mother. Just like during Covid, here comes your government: "It's for your own good," "This hurts me more than it hurts you," "In time you'll thank me for this." It's sick and demented and I can't believe people still won't wake up. Thanks for amplifying the good work of Jeff Evely, Ron.

One of the major red flags around covid was the propaganda onslaught that the media carried out against the ideals of individual freedom, where they argued that individual rights were "selfish" and that it should be left up to a higher authority to decide what freedoms people were allowed to have.

The media is again pushing similar arguments, saying that "public health" should override individual freedom:

https://www.theglobeandmail.com/opinion/article-nova-scotia-wood-forest-ban-wildfire/

This line of argument deliberately confuses natural human freedoms with being able to do absolutely anything you want to with no regard for the rest of society.

The freedoms that were taken from people during covid were exactly those that enable someone to be a functional part of society: freedom of movement, freedom of association, freedom to socialise, freedom to work, freedom to participate in the economy, freedom of speech etc. These are all natural human freedoms that are the basis of any sane society. It shows how insane the covid "response" was, that this level of tyranny was imposed on people over a common cold virus.

Natural human freedoms should always take precedence over anything else. If some "expert" who is predicting doom says that people need to give up their freedoms, then their expertise automatically becomes irrelevant, and they should just be ignored.

When government and media start arguing that people need to surrender some of their human rights, then, as we saw during covid, it likely means that the government is planning on doing some very bad things.

“Why are so many kids autistic now?” 🤔

From: (Anonymous)
I saw this on FB and I think someone from a PR agency for Big Pharma came up with it knowing what buzz words to use so that it would go viral. It is basically shaming and patronising people for noticing the huge increase in those with autism - you are prejudiced and unaware apparently. The anecdotes are totally unrelatable - no I didn't have a creepy uncle etc. It also buys into the Religion of Progress notion that people in previous eras like the '70s were too thick to notice if someone was severely autistic, with learning difficulties, verbal tics, stimming, non verbal etc. This kind of autism is far more common now than it was in the 60s and 70s.

There is a kernel of truth to it - many people (high functioning autists like JMG) weren't diagnosed in the past but the high functioning ones don't end up in special schools and permanent residential care. The autistic spectrum has changed with far more cases and far more severe cases and that's what they don't want you to acknowledge.

“Why are so many kids autistic now?” 🤔

Must be the vaccines. Or the tablets. Or whatever TikTok told you to panic about today.
Nah, what’s really weird is how you all act like autism just came from nowhere — when in reality, you grew up surrounded by undiagnosed autistic people. You just called it something else.

Your cousin wasn’t “lazy.” He just couldn’t function without routine.
Your uncle didn’t “give you the creeps.” He struggled with social cues.
Your grandad with the strict breakfast routine and same chair every morning? That was sensory comfort and hyperfixation.
That classmate who was brilliant but never spoke?
The sibling who had meltdowns over scratchy clothes or loud sounds?
The kid who knew more about dinosaurs or trains than the teacher?
The adult who wears the exact same outfit every single day because it feels right?

You didn’t miss autism. You mislabeled it.
Autism isn’t new — but diagnosis is.
Awareness is.
Acceptance is.

So yeah, go ahead and keep blaming screen time or vaccines if it makes you feel better — while entire generations of folks were dismissed as “weird,” “bad,” or “slow.”
There is not a rise in neuro diversity and autism. There is a rise in people finally being seen for who they really are. 🩷❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜

Everyone has to make their choice. I chose some time ago to stay the hell away from the medical system, apart from urgent care e.g. for injuries. Honestly, most ordinary doctors are clueless "skinbag pharmaceutical vending machines" and a great advert for the effectiveness of systematic brainwashing.

Anything involving Pharma products, forget it. I'll live or die on my own terms.

I have sh-t teeth, so dentistry is necessary, although I'm now going for implants where possible - better than a decaying tooth, amalgam fillings are toxic (mercury leaches), root canals are sites of infection and correlate with cancer. Implants are notionally inert, although I bet someone has a list of nasty side effects for them . . .

That oath to disobey any order considered illegal or unjust is an interesting one, no doubt introduced in the wake of the Nuremburg trials. I wonder: does it apply to 'ordinary' police officers as well as the military?

Your wife made the right choice. I've seen horror stories of people reporting LLM-based AI speech-to-text fabricating medically relevant sentences; that is, just adding in words that affect the diagnosis at points of the transcript where nothing was said at all.

What a crock. I also don’t find the anecdotes relatable. Like actually…no, that sort of thing wasn’t a particularly common experience even when I was growing up in the 90s. Unless you count sitting in the same chair every morning (like probably 95%+ of people) or being more enthused about trains and dinosaurs than the adult women around you. 🙄

I know that change is real, and I remember how hard it was to incorporate the new normal into my lagging worldview when I first watched the video, back during the 2021 vaccine rollout, of so many athletes collapsing and dying mid-game. Nonetheless, that doctor's post is comparing apples to oranges.

All athletes dying from cardiac arrest is quite a different measure than only the under 35 cohort dying from multiple cardiac causes. The comparison of four and a half years to thirty-eight years is dramatic, but just how many of the recent excess deaths occurred in athletes over 35? There is nothing useful I can do with that data comparison without additional data with which to interpret it.
