Certain odd items needed

Greetings all,

I need some slightly unusual items for a certain project:  a small feather or two from a red or white rooster, a small piece (say, the size of a dime) of a cow's horn or a deer's antler, and about a teaspoon of dog hair from a dog whose coat is more than one color (spotted, brindled, you name it, as long as the dog's not all the same color).  If you have these and are willing to part with them, please contact me via personal message, or include a comment marked not for posting with your email address.

No, I can't explain why yet. Donors will be thanked in a future book, however!

UPDATE: Thank you to everyone who responded. I now have the items in question on their way to me, so all is good. (Rubs hands together fiendishly...)

It's so much more fun trying to figure it out ourselves. Some of the things going through my mind make me giggle.

Sorry the only thing I have is some hair from a dog but it's all one color.

In Shakespeare's day, this sort of thing was as common and easily understood as internet jargon is today. The witches were casting a spell that combined the energies of Saturn, Mercury, and the Moon -- no doubt those three planets were in some dire aspect just then -- and those same planets, of course, prophesy the plot of the play. Saturn is the lord of time and death, Mercury rules treachery and craft, and the Moon (presumably it was a waning moon) turns everything to its opposite in time. It's a nice piece of stage business.

The dog and the baboon are Mercury correspondences, the fenny snake, the newt, and the frog are Moon. The rest are related to Saturn.

I believe I have a full Deer antler set in my stash if you don't get that slice. Just not sure of its parentage, whether they are from the 'Lucky Lou' I happen to have met in person.

Does the rooster have to be completely red or white? Or just a red or white feather?

Also, we are slaughtering a cow Monday or tuesday and I could get a piece of horn, any specific piece?

Hello JMG!
I just butchered my two roosters last week, one of which was red, and regrettably the feathers are all in the compost now but I do have an antler horn that I have sawn "coins" from to fashion buttons.
I would be happy to send you a piece if it hasn't already been offered.
Incidentally the antler comes from NE Washington state, around Colville and was a shed found in the woods.
