Open (More or Less) Post on Covid 121

We are now in the third year of these open posts. As the phrase "died suddenly" repeats in the mass media like a mantra, statistics for work days lost to illness and all-cause mortality mount up in heavily vaccinated nations, and more and more ugly facts about the official response to Covid spill out into public, we are entering what may well turn out to be the most difficult period of the Covid disaster -- the phase in which denial rises in lockstep with the death rate, and a great many people try not to admit what has been done to them by the people and institutions they trusted. It could get ugly, folks.

So it's time for another open post. The rules are the same as before: 

1. If you plan on parroting the party line of the medical industry and its paid shills, please go away. This is a place for people to talk openly, honestly, and freely about their concerns that the party line in question is dangerously flawed and that actions being pushed by the medical industry et al. are causing injury and death. It is not a place for you to dismiss those concerns. Anyone who wants to hear the official story and the arguments in favor of it can find those on hundreds of thousands of websites.

2. If you plan on insisting that the current situation is the result of a deliberate plot by some villainous group of people or other, please go away. There are tens of thousands of websites currently rehashing various conspiracy theories about the Covid-19 outbreak and the vaccines. This is not one of them. What we're exploring is the likelihood that what's going on is the product of the same arrogance, incompetence, and corruption that the medical industry and its tame politicians have displayed so abundantly in recent decades. That possibility deserves a space of its own for discussion, and that's what we're doing here. 
 
3. If you plan on using rent-a-troll derailing or disruption tactics, please go away. I'm quite familiar with the standard tactics used by troll farms to disrupt online forums, and am ready, willing, and able -- and in fact quite eager -- to ban people permanently for engaging in them here. Oh, and I also lurk on other Covid-19 vaccine skeptic blogs, so I'm likely to notice when the same posts are showing up on more than one venue. 

4. If you don't believe in treating people with common courtesy, please go away. I have, and enforce, a strict courtesy policy on my blogs and online forums, and this is no exception. The sort of schoolyard bullying that takes place on so many other internet forums will get you deleted and banned here. Also, please don't drag in current quarrels about sex, race, religions, etc. No, I don't care if you disagree with that: my journal, my rules. 

With that said, the floor is open for discussion.

Week 121!

Dear JMG, thank you for hosting, and forumistas, thank you for showing up here.

What's been bright in my mind this week is the way history chimes, and how what we're living through right now, in some ways (not all), chimes with France's infamous and tremendously divisive Dreyfus Affair.

Zola (the great novelist and defender of Dreyfus), who exposed the army's perfidy in covicting an innocent man, got around the censors by printing a stupdendous number of pamphlets at his own expense. Distribution of those pamphlets apparently was not an issue; an army of newsboys went out and sold them on the street.

It really was another world: Little boys who might have been in kindergarten stood out of the street selling newspapers, that was normal in the cities of the western world. My great grandfather, an orphan, was one of them.

Thank you for this story about Zola and historical account including your G-grandfather. Fascinating. Those poor boys. I've seen photos of news-boys smoking at seven years old. How many ever did get to school? Hope your G-grandfather's life was okay.

My grandfather was unloved (tormented?) by his new stepmother and hit the road, riding the rails, at a very young age but older than kdgtn. Nine I think. Basically illiterate his entire life but fed his family during the depression. He was a mean old guy.

Can Zola's approach be any sort of model for 'underground' communications in this age of mass instant information?

Here’s a disturbing first-hand report from Toronto.

I have been having issues since August and the suspicion was that I might have a kidney stone although there were other possibilities. The blood and urine work and the ultra-sounds I had in October were inconclusive so it was decided I needed a CT Scan and possibly a “probe”. That was scheduled for this past Monday. However, on Sunday, I woke up in horrendous pain. I tried to work through it but by around 2:00pm the pain and nausea were so great that my kid and I decided an ambulance was in order.

They came and took me to the closest hospital which is one of the largest in downtown Toronto. It’s the same hospital where I was scheduled to go on Monday.

The various waiting rooms in the Emergency area were full and, like everywhere else in Toronto, the hospital is under renovation so it was pretty tight.

Once they got my pain under control (don’t let anyone tell you that kidney stones aren’t painful!) and made the booking for a CT scan, I naturally graduated to the second tier of triage. I was left (we all were) to lie on a Lazy-Boy type recliner as there were no available beds. Mine was situated about a dozen feet from the nursing station.

Once the pain subsided, I was able to focus and take a look around to see just who was there in Emergency. What I saw and heard disturbed me no end.

Amongst the throng, there were 6 youngish men (aged 20’s through early 40’s) and one very young Korean woman who was on the chair next to me who were all suffering from heart-related issues. One of the men looked familiar to me but he was sitting in the next row and I didn’t have my glasses. They came and took him for tests before I could get a real good look.

There was some sort of emergency taking place and they were pulling staff and doctors to go to another part of the Emergency area so they were all trading notes at the nurses’ station as to the status of those of us in our area. Naturally, being so close I could hear what was being said. Two of the 20-somethings had already been diagnosed with myocarditis issues and one of the men in his 30’s was a suspected case. As the one nurse was talking, I saw the two nurses closest to me exchange knowing glances at each other – they know what is happening.

The young Korean woman looked to be on her last legs and her preacher arrived to say what I assume was last rights (it was all in Korean). She had three friends with her and they were all kneeling and praying. They ultimately stabilized her and she was still with us when I was discharged at around 10:30pm.

About 45 minutes later, they brought back the man who looked familiar to me and parked him next to my chair. We both recognized each other as he had lived in my co-op with his family for many years and his father had worked at the co-op. I’ve lived there nearly 30 years.

He told me what was going on with him. Of course, he began by saying, “I’m not saying that this is the cause but I am blaming the vaccinations I took”. I assured him I was totally onside with that conclusion and then he felt comfortable enough to tell me the whole story. He had to be vaxxed for his job so he went to our local pharmacy (he still works in our neighborhood) and he got the first shot of the Pfizer in early July, 2021. He collapsed 10 minutes after receiving the shot. Of course, he had to prove he had a second shot so that came in August. A few days later, he collapsed at work and was rushed to hospital for heart surgery. Things have gone downhill for him since then. He has had 3 surgeries and he told me that during his examination, he realized that he was about to have his 4th operation. Sure enough, about 20 minutes into our talk, they came to tell him that they were going to begin prepping him for surgery. He made a quick call to his teenage daughter who was sitting in another room and told her to go home. He looked at me and started to tear up and told me that he regretted ever taking these shots and that it had ruined his life as he could no longer work to support his family. He is 41 years old. I knew him when he was a teenager and he is a rough and tough type of guy so I could tell he was just at his wits end. They wheeled him away and all I could do was wish him luck.

It was all so disturbing. At that point, they came for me and I had my CT scan which showed a couple of issues but it confirmed that there was a kidney stone and it had moved which accounted for the intense pain. When I came back to the Emergency area, there were two nurses discussing one of the young men and the prognosis was not good.

Ironically, the only young man to be discharged was a drug addict who had OD’d. They gave him some drug to stop his issues and his vitals stabilized so he was free to go. Go figure! Dollars to dimes says that he was NOT vaxxed.

When I got home around 11"00pm I told my kid about it and he told me that a few people at his work are sick again on their umpteenth bout of COVID and that one of his co-workers had told him that he has never felt “right” since getting the jabs.

As bad as things are for so many people already, I fear for the future. At least 7 people (as far as I could tell) with the same issues in one small part of one hospital during a few hours on a Sunday. I couldn’t sleep on Sunday night.

The covid virus continues to mutate at an increasing rate with ever new mutations. So far, new variants have out-competed previous variants. Now it seems we have entered a new phase where new variants can coexist with pre-existing variants.

The vaccinations are up and running again. The evolutionary pressure on the virus will increase and it will mutate even more.

People are constantly re-infected with the covid virus, vaccinated to a greater extent than unvaccinated. This causes the immune system to be exhausted, which makes you more susceptible to other viruses as well. The immune system also become worse at defeating bacterial and fungal infections and it will be less effective in protecting us against autoimmune diseases and cancer.

It remains to be seen how it will be this winter.

Covid book publishing

A few weeks ago I posted a link to my website "Reading Coroniverse," where I'm compiling a structured bibliography of all the books published about Covid-19. (I posted that link double-anonymously.) I've been picking away at the project and now have nearly 1300 books cataloged.

Today I saw a title that got my attention: "Covid-19," Psychological Operations, and the War for Technocracy by David A. Hughes, volume one, slated for release in February 2024. The most interesting thing is that this will be published by Palgrave Macmillan, surely one of the largest mainstream scholarly publishers. I hadn't heard of David A. Hughes before, but he seems a fully-fledged Covid dissident: Among the articles attributed to him at Academia.edu is one titled "What is in the so-called COVID-19 "Vaccines"? Part 1: Evidence of a Global Crime Against Humanity." He's also a faculty member at the University of Lincoln in the UK.

Before this, the nearest I'd seen to dissent in a title from a major publisher was Jean-Francois Caron's Fear and the Covid-19 Pandemic: A Liberticidal Virus, published this past July by Routledge. "Liberticidal" is a lot less strident than a "War for Technocracy"!

I can't help but wonder if this means there a niche opening in mainstream academia for Covid dissent. From what I can gather Hughes and Caron are both younger or middle-career academics.

Reaping the Whirlwind

Maybe it's the change of season coupled with a similar bleak outlook about the cooties situation, but I can't help but notice all the swirling gusts of wind that whip the leaves into the gray sky. Almost every time I walk out, I see a whirlwind. I had a copy of the 'The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich' in high school. The closing chapter, Reaping the Whirlwind, with the picture of a devastated Berlin, always stuck in my mind. How do you come back from that? How do you live through that? My favorite line from Empire of the Sun comes to mind...

I was just visiting with a friend who was very much on the Covidian train in the past but not obnoxious about it, vaccinated I'm sure. I was shocked to see how thin she'd become since I last saw her, she was an athlete all through college.

She was showing me how to use her coffee grinder, a simple cylindrical electric type that you need to hold down by hand while it grinds. She filled it, turned it on, and struggled to keep it from jumping out of her trembling hands as it worked. She passed it to me and I found I needed to apply only the slightest pressure to keep it completely still.

Later her husband remarked that a co-worker of his had suddenly died of pneumonia and talked about how "we're losing so many people these days."

I said nothing...

The topic of something yanking millions of people into a weird state, and then state-dependent memory preventing people from noticing that happened, but there's another interesting corollary to it I haven't seen discussed yet: the people who resisted the pull the most are going to be able to remember what happened more vividly than those yanked into the alien state.

This could easily help explain why so many of the people who went so hard down the Covid rabbit hole, who were calling for anyone who refused the vaccine to be put to death and the like, are now wondering why we're making such a big fuss about it: they genuinely cannot remember it being a big deal. Not just do they not remember their role in this, but they actually cannot remember it being a big thing.

This, of course, helps make things way more explosive: the Covidians genuinely remember the entire thing being a minor event at most, and so resent us for making it into a huge deal, unable to understand why we'd end friendships and the like over something that, from their perspective, looks trivial at best; while for us, we watched people we knew and trusted go completely insane over a flu, and now it looks like they're trying to just completely ignore it.

Both groups, then, are justified in being frustrated with the other, because from their perspective, it looks like the other side is being completely ridiculous. It certainly explains a lot.

After months of anticipation, the final report of the 100% publicly funded National Citizen Inquiry on the whole Cooties-Muzzles-Foxes&Mandibles fiasco was released on November 28. It comes in at 5,324 pages (including 80 pages of recommendations and 4,700 pages of transcribed testimony of 300+ witnesses). One thing worth noting is that in the video referenced above there is mention of divine intervention. In the eyes of Buckley, and many others, the obstacles that the NCI faced from start to finish were so numerous and so herculean, and the solutions so ‘out of the blue’, that it only seems rational to attribute divine forces to be at play in preventing the flame from being snuffed out.

If one was hoping that the report would include a ‘pandemic amnesty’ the answer is an unqualified ‘NO’; criminal and civil penalties of the perpetrators are clearly called for. The report is apolitical, which may help to explain why not even the Conservative Party of Canada (the self-proclaimed champions of freedom and stuff) has mentioned it. No doubt all the politicians would wish that it would go away; no such luck, as now that the report is out, a major ‘drum-banging’ initiative is gearing up! And now that the ‘rap sheet’ has been published, a group of retired senior detectives are out of the gates like a pack of greyhounds.

In other Canadian cooties news, the trial of Freedom Convoy leaders Chris Barber and Tamara Lich has resumed. Monday, Nov 27, was Day 28, which marked the start of the defence’s case. The bad news is that the Crown has made a Carter application – a nasty legal piece of business which allows all incriminating evidence against one co-defendant to be used against other co-defendants in a criminal trial. The Carter application is currently being considered by the Judge. The good news is that none of the prosecution’s 16 witless witnesses (mostly consisting of Ottawa cops – go figure) could directly attribute either of the accused persons to the crimes they have been accused of. The defence lawyers stated that the criteria required for a Carter application to be approved are "incapable of being met" in accordance with case law and precedent. Anyway, we’ll see. The Carter application issue dragged into Nov 28 (Day 29 of the trial), in which the defence lawyers provided scads of evidence showing that in every form of communication between Tamara and Chris the message was consistently a call for "peaceful" demonstrations and compliance with law enforcement. Only a conspiracy for criminal activity can trigger the acceptance of a Carter application. The judge stated that she would likely issue a decision on the prosecution's Carter application submission next week (no doubt her statement was accompanied with a yawn and a stretch and some muttering about no need to be hasty since she’s not paying the lawyers’ fees). It sounds like things are going well, thank Gods (literally?). I wish the United States would have a NCI. Which makes me really ponder why you all have been more successful pushing back, and down here it's nothing but crickets.
