I have been attending a professional conference in the US-- in the last 48 hours 3 people, one at the microphone before the assembly, stated that they were so heartbroken about the US that they were going to leave. Choices mentioned: Mexico, Canada, and Ireland. Because? Because January 6, transphobia, and human rights violations of Guatemalan immigrants. Not one single word from anyone about the covidian catastrophe, nor any aspect of it. Not. one.
