 (Yes, that's "Magic Monday" in Breton. Those are also Breton Druids in the photo.  I'm doing the Brythonic Celtic languages as this month's theme.) 

Once again, it's technically Monday now -- past midnight Eastern time -- and here I am on Dreamwidth, so it's time for another Magic Monday.  Ask me anything about occultism and I'll do my best to answer it. Any question received by midnight Monday Eastern time will get an answer, though it may be Tuesday sometime before I get to them all.

What would be the result if you used the opposite-gendered divine name (i.e. Sul for a man, Coel for a woman) in the Central Ray ritual?

You'd run the risk of messing up the energy flows in your etheric body, which shares the pattern of the physical body. It's important here to recognize that the physical body has its own reality; whatever gender a person may identify with in personal and emotional terms, or what have you, the physical body is what it is, and while it's not the whole person it does need to be taken into account.

Work with the divine name of the opposite gender in the ninth sphere takes place in Sphere workings, which will be published in detail in a forthcoming book. In those, you're not moving energies through the subtle channels of your body, you're working with macrocosmic energies, and having the gender polarity to work with is helpful rather than the opposite.
