Open (More or Less) Post on Covid 29

The semi-open posts I've hosted here on the Covid-19 narrative, the inadequately tested experimental drugs for it, and the whole cascading mess surrounding them have continued to field a very high number of comments -- to understate the matter considerably! -- so I'm opening yet another space for discussion. The rules are the same as before: 1. If you plan on parroting the party line of the medical industry and its paid shills, please go away. This is a place for people to talk openly, honestly, and freely about their concerns that the party line in question is dangerously flawed and that actions being pushed by the medical industry et al. are causing injury and death. It is not a place for you to dismiss those concerns. Anyone who wants to hear the official story and the arguments in favor of it can find those on hundreds of thousands of websites.
2. If you plan on insisting that the current situation is the result of a deliberate plot by some villainous group of people or other, please go away. There are tens of thousands of websites currently rehashing various conspiracy theories about the Covid-19 outbreak and the vaccines. This is not one of them. What we're exploring is the likelihood that what's going on is the product of the same arrogance, incompetence, and corruption that the medical industry and its tame politicians have displayed so abundantly in recent decades. That possibility deserves a space of its own for discussion, and that's what we're doing here.
3. If you plan on using rent-a-troll derailing or disruption tactics, please go away. I'm quite familiar with the standard tactics used by troll farms to disrupt online forums, and am ready, willing, and able -- and in fact quite eager -- to ban people permanently for engaging in them here. Oh, and I also lurk on other Covid-19 vaccine skeptic blogs, so I'm likely to notice when the same posts are showing up on more than one venue.
4. If you don't believe in treating people with common courtesy, please go away. I have, and enforce, a strict courtesy policy on my blogs and online forums, and this is no exception. The sort of schoolyard bullying that takes place on so many other internet forums will get you deleted and banned here. No, I don't care if you disagree with that: my journal, my rules.
With that said, as Canadian officials launch a campaign of reprisals against citizens who supported a peaceful protest against government policy, and the words "died suddenly" become the favorite media euphemism of our time, the floor is open for discussion.

When these get instituted to cross state borders, that will be the end of the United States, I predict.

Date: 2022-02-28 07:34 pm (UTC)They simply created an app for the existing BC Services Card, and added a page for covid vaccine data. The BC Services card was simply combining our BC Healthcare Card that everyone gets when they're born (or immigrates) with our driver's license (for people without driver's licenses, you can also just add your photo). The healthcare card is what lets you access the universal Medical Services Plan, so 99.9% of people already have them. (If you are say, homeless, and wind up in hospital without one, they will get you doing the paperwork to get one with the social workers there.)
We've had the chipped and combined Services Card for 6 years, I think - I renewed my current driver's license in 2020, but I swear they updated it before that... but after they created the Enhanced Driver's License (radio chipped) that we can use instead of a passport to go to the US - I believe you have this already on the US side, too, they started rolling it out in 2009. Alas, we are backwards in Canada; we had to wait until 2013 to get the full international ePassport (it's slick -just embedded in that shiny coating on page 2) all US passports became in 2006.
Anyway, I had no idea that's how they'd done the vax passes until I went to renew my Criminal Record Check for Scouts, and now to do so you MUST download the Services App to a smartphone and create an account with your BC Service Card; and the handy information they give you about that is that "It's easy! You already did this for your vaccine pass! So just open the app and go to the dropdown menu...". I thought: you monsters!
Now to protest vaccine passports I have to get rid of my entire access to the BC healthcare system, my ability to drive or access any government services with a photo ID, and my ability to work with children. Ah well, at least I already gave up international travel - the last time I travelled was in 2013 using my old analog passport.
Though, I did get it renewed in 2015, so I technically *have* an ePassport, should I decide to flee the repressive regime here to the US.
