Open (More or Less) Post on Covid 29

The semi-open posts  I've hosted here on the Covid-19 narrative, the inadequately tested experimental drugs for it, and the whole cascading mess surrounding them have continued to field a very high number of comments -- to understate the matter considerably! -- so I'm opening yet another space for discussion. The rules are the same as before: 

1. If you plan on parroting the party line of the medical industry and its paid shills, please go away. This is a place for people to talk openly, honestly, and freely about their concerns that the party line in question is dangerously flawed and that actions being pushed by the medical industry et al. are causing injury and death. It is not a place for you to dismiss those concerns. Anyone who wants to hear the official story and the arguments in favor of it can find those on hundreds of thousands of websites.

2. If you plan on insisting that the current situation is the result of a deliberate plot by some villainous group of people or other, please go away. There are tens of thousands of websites currently rehashing various conspiracy theories about the Covid-19 outbreak and the vaccines. This is not one of them. What we're exploring is the likelihood that what's going on is the product of the same arrogance, incompetence, and corruption that the medical industry and its tame politicians have displayed so abundantly in recent decades. That possibility deserves a space of its own for discussion, and that's what we're doing here. 
 
3. If you plan on using rent-a-troll derailing or disruption tactics, please go away. I'm quite familiar with the standard tactics used by troll farms to disrupt online forums, and am ready, willing, and able -- and in fact quite eager -- to ban people permanently for engaging in them here. Oh, and I also lurk on other Covid-19 vaccine skeptic blogs, so I'm likely to notice when the same posts are showing up on more than one venue. 

4. If you don't believe in treating people with common courtesy, please go away. I have, and enforce, a strict courtesy policy on my blogs and online forums, and this is no exception. The sort of schoolyard bullying that takes place on so many other internet forums will get you deleted and banned here. No, I don't care if you disagree with that: my journal, my rules. 

With that said, as Canadian officials launch a campaign of reprisals against citizens who supported a peaceful protest against government policy, and the words "died suddenly" become the favorite media euphemism of our time, the floor is open for discussion.

Hello everyone,

On the topic of the Canadian freedom convoy, I'd like to present a devil's advocate position that is neither pro-conspiracy nor pro-establishment narrative, and so I hope falls within the rules of this space.

I assume that most regulars here are more conservative-leaning than average and would align with the "red" tribe in the present culture war on most issues. As a thought experiment I thought it might be interesting to imagine an event like the Freedom Convoy from the opposite side in the culture war.

Let's say that a group of people that the red tribe is not particularly fond of, such as antifa or BLM, were to stage a major protest (call it the Social Justice Convoy), where they shut down a major Western capital until their demands were met, and their demands included concessions on hotbutton social issues like defunding the police and transgender rights, or whatever red tribe people are currently horrified by. I'm sure that the red tribe alt media would not be portraying them as brave freedom fighters, or supporting the right to civil disobedience and non-violent protest; instead, I'm willing to bet they would be calling them by a flurry of labels, including but not limited to terrorists, traitors, revolutionaries, among others. And let's say that a populist politician favored by the red tribe, like Trump or Bolsonaro, was in office and used laws currently on the books to suppress the protest. His supporters and sympathizers would more likely than not be cheering him for restoring law & order, while the other side would undoubtedly be calling him a tyrant.

On some level, we have to admit that part of us feels good when 'our side' uses force against the 'other side' to put them in their place and get what we want, and we have a tendency to come up with self-serving narratives that justify that good feeling. Conversely, when the 'other side' uses force against 'our side' to get what they want, it's likely to feel like an injustice and oppression that makes us behave like self-righteous martyrs. In contemporary politics the temptation is to chase that good 'winning' feeling by humiliating the other side, leading to a cycle of constant one-upmanship that distracts us from the boring work of dealing with real problems.

I think contemporary politics is inseparable from the media environment created by the internet and social media algorithms. The more time you spend in the red or blue filter bubbles, the more you unconsciously adopt its attitudes and assumptions about the world, to the point where it feels natural and obvious to assume that your side is absolutely good and the other side is absolutely evil. You may even agree with the points above, but maintain that in this particular case, on this particular issue, the facts are so clear-cut that only fools and evil people would disagree. And it seems incomprehensible how anyone could hold a different perspective from you. Are they brainwashed? How could they not see the facts that are plainly in front of them?

You might argue that I'm setting up a false equivalency between the red and blue tribes. You might argue persuasively that the Covid issue is clear-cut, that your position is obviously the correct one, that everyone else is clearly evil or foolish. But it's precisely in highly polarized times that we need to be wary of simple truths and question the narratives that seem to make us conceited and arrogant in our certainty.

How many of us have indulged in thinking of this sort over the last two years, with a twinge of superiority and contempt for our fellow man? How many of us have blamed others -- politicians, public health authorities, the media -- and secretly nursed the belief that we could do better, that we're different?

Consider the following: If a few thousand people can get together and block half a billion in trade daily and then just get whatever they want, how is that fair for the majority? "If you waste enough money and annoy enough people, the government will do whatever you want" isn't an ideal form of decision making. In a Westminster-style parliamentary democracy like Canada, flawed and unsatisfying as it is, governance is based on the balancing of the rights of different constituencies, not in the whims of a mob. If this particular mob can get what it wants this time, are we sure that future mobs will align with our opinions on other issues, and would we want to be governed by them?

I, too, love waking up to everyone’s writings, as well as everyone’s writings waking me up. John Michael's open posts have clearly come to the attention of a god or two. We are in very good company here!

Our feckless overlords truly believed that shutting down the houses of worship and making them go virtual would take away our spiritual powers. They should have read their history books better... or maybe just a little Archdruid Report. They merely succeeded in making our spiritual powers go underground, where their control structures and safety valves could no longer effectively influence and regulate them. Behind the chicken coop is always a more dangerous place to force slaves to gather than in the church building.

By pushing official worship to go virtual, our dull elites not only neutered and tied up the powers of their vetted, credentialed religious authorities, they also enchanted the Internet. Oops! I have to say, I didn't see this global chicken-coop coming, which is perfect, because neither did they!

Thank you to everyone who pushed back against Trudeau's invoking the Emergency Measures Act. Mr Dictator Wannabe has backed down!! YAY!!!

My only regret is that I was working up the event chart for the parliamentary ratification of the act. Seeing how things had shifted in the space of a week was fascinating and I was starting to get the hang of how to use aspects to see how things might change over the period the chart was in effect. Oh well.

Major bomb!

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is revoking the use of the Emergencies Act that was used to quash the protests that erupted in Ottawa and at border crossings over recent weeks.

Not even two days after the confirmation vote in the House of Commons!

The NDP is going to look like losers who decided to support the PMC/Liberals, it is going to be their bridge to far.

The senate was debating the act and was headed in the direction of possibly voting against it, the opposition to the act was fierce and very well articulated.

There was a tsunami of letter campaigns (the good all type on paper and by mail that's what we did!), e-mails, phone calls, to MP and senators, literally.

A major protest was organized to take place on the 5 march in Ottawa, all legal.

Rumour as it that the banks and financial institutions where caught in a whole mess of people withdrawing their money from their accounts.

IMO Biden must of told fancy socks that he was going to lift the border mandates before the American truckers arrived in Washington DC !

Someone mentioned how surprising it is that Klaus & Co are so explicit about their evil goals. It's not just them though, most politicians are surprisingly "honest" nowadays. Just think about all the talk of "making the unfoxed suffer" or "the restrictions are here for good".

This might be in line with the demonic possession hypothesis. Think about the pleasure of the psychopaths to be able to tell people exactly what they will do and yet most people dismiss it as a "conspiracy theory".

I am trying not to be too affected by it - Cassandra comes to mind, running around pulling her hair and trying to warn of an invasion while the city folk laugh at her and call her crazy. In our case though this happens while the invaders are already in the city and burning it.

German Insurance Database of 11 Million People Reveals COVID-19 Vaccine Side Effects Are Significantly More Common Than Reported by the Government

An analysis of millions of insured persons' data from one of the largest providers of health care in Germany, BKK ProVita, has revealed significantly higher figures for COVID-19 vaccine side effects than reported by Paul Ehrlich Institute, an agency of the Federal Ministry of Health.

The new data is an "alarm signal," warns BKK board member Andreas Schöfbeck. This is the first time figures from a large German health insurance association have been available on the side effects of COVID-19 vaccines.

In a video call with WELT, Schöfbeck said on Wednesday (Feb. 23): "The numbers determined are significant and urgently need to be checked for plausibility."

"According to our calculations, we consider 400,000 visits to the doctor by our policyholders because of vaccination complications to be realistic to this day. Extrapolated to the total population, this value would be three million," warned Schöfbeck.

My daughter's college just went to triple vax status for all on campus visitors and she pleaded to her double vax father to get a booster to come to a final show performance of hers. He got very upset to be put in this position and told her no, he wasn't going to get a booster.

He's now slightly depressed that he can't participate in our daughter's life. Still not getting a clue in that the people requiring these mandates are evil. Getting afraid that when it does finally hit him, he'll snap.

Of course the reports on www.realnotrare.com represent only a tiny fraction of the numbers of people who have suffered adverse events after their inoculations, but at this point, as a casual observer who happens to have read them all and posted excerpts and links to many of them here on this forum, a few general observations:

1. Adverse events seem to be primarily neurological and cardiac. Most report some kind of sudden, unusual, and severe pain, as well as disturbing sensations, and extreme fatigue.

2. Also commonly reported are dizziness and tinnitus.

3. When they have gone to the emergency room or to their doctor, most have been dismissed, some even ridiculed, sent home with a diagnosis of "anxiety."

4. Reporting of adverse events has been very hit and miss, mostly miss, with no effective follow up.

5. We are starting to see reports from people who did not voluntarily seek out the inoculations, as was the case when these were first made available, but from those who did not want them but nonetheless yielded to social pressure and mandates.

6. Many report that their symptoms have improved somewhat with time and rest, but many also report no change after many weeks and they are very frightened and angry.

7. Very few mention any sustaining spiritual practice as something that has been helping them. This latest report, however, is an exception.

Just posted-- adverse effects include dizziness, tingling, numbness, burning and pressure sensations, extremely painful headaches, sharp pain, gastrointestinal problems, nausea, ongoing fatigue.
