troubledThe semi-open posts  I've hosted here on the Covid-19 narrative, the inadequately tested experimental drugs for it, and the whole cascading mess surrounding them have continued to field a huge number of comments, so I'm opening another space for discussion. The rules are the same as before:

1. If you plan on parroting the party line of the medical industry and its paid shills, please go away. This is a place for people to talk openly, honestly, and freely about their concerns that the party line in question is dangerously flawed and that actions being pushed by the medical industry et al. are causing injury and death. It is not a place for you to dismiss those concerns. Anyone who wants to hear the official story and the arguments in favor of it can find those on hundreds of thousands of websites.

2. If you plan on insisting that the current situation is the result of a deliberate plot by some villainous group of people or other, please go away. There are tens of thousands of websites currently rehashing various conspiracy theories about the Covid-19 outbreak and the vaccines. This is not one of them. What we're exploring is the likelihood that what's going on is the product of the same arrogance, incompetence, and corruption that the medical industry and its tame politicians have displayed so abundantly in recent decades. That possibility deserves a space of its own for discussion, and that's what we're doing here.

3. If you don't believe in treating people with common courtesy, please go away. I have, and enforce, a strict courtesy policy on my blogs and online forums, and this is no exception. The sort of schoolyard bullying that takes place on so many other internet forums will get you deleted and banned here. No, I don't care if you disagree with that: my journal, my rules.

With that said, the floor is open for discussion.

So with Biden's vaccine non-mandate mandate for federal and private employees (in 100+ person businesses) coming our way, who wants to take bets that push back will increase on the local and state levels? I couldn't think of a stupider move then to crack down on 80 million individuals who are already on edge. Civil disobedience much? As we expected, the pressure will ramp up. Can't wait till we reach the Australia internment camp stage.

The positive I take from this is that the feds are having to get more and more heavy handed with poorer and poorer results.

This is quite clearly a desperation move! This tells me that something really big is coming in the days or weeks (not months) ahead...

Pretty much every Republican governor is pushing back, thankfully. Sad that informed consent has become a partisan issue.

You're lucky it's become a partisan issue. If Trudeau did what Biden just did, the only debate our politicians would be having would be whether it was enough!

A lot of people have been waiting for the other shoe to drop. Might this be it?

Civil disobedience would be worth hoping for. There's part of me that wonders if they're actually aiming to provoke a more kinetic reaction. Not good.

I see one upside in the way they've gone ahead and done this, though. Right now everybody in the country is thinking about what this means. For the 80 (or however many) million people whose hands this is meant to force, it's pretty encouraging to know that there are 80 million people in the same boat as you tonight. That's way better than if businesses had been pressured quietly to issue their own mandates. Up to now, with businesses doing it one by one, the people affected have probably seemed and felt isolated, anecdotal, and few. Now, just tonight, the president has conjured up a huge class of people that didn't quite exist this way before.

So maybe this could lead to something productive? I don't know... I'm not sure I believe it. This is looking more and more like something that cannot end well.

They've just tipped off that a quarter of the population is not complying. This means that we're not alone and suddenly a lot of us who were feeling that way know it: there are others standing with me on this. This is both very encouraging and very dangerous: I can't think of a better way to cause a full blown crisis than to suddenly conjure this group into reality and start viciously threatening it...

My sense is that the pro side is trying to slow play things, to get as many people vaxxed as they can before they provoke people to coalesce and resist forcefully. They push a bit and see if they can take new ground and hold, then push a bit more, always gauging the response.

My hunch is the cautious side is also slow playing things. I think everyone in this camp has at least an unconscious awareness, if not conscious, that things could certainly turn kinetic very quickly. I don't think most people really want that. I don't. It's hard to walk stuff like that back, and once it starts, the only way out is usually through. Could get very dark. That said, we may be getting pushed into a corner where that is the only option. :/

I am strongly reminded of JMG's astrological predictions for Biden's inauguration, and his mentioining of 'repeated mis-steps' and incompetent handling of crises.

The ham-fisted bone-headedness of this administration is astounding. But I suppose this sort of thing is typical of the administrative class mentality: repeatedly pushing the button on the vending machine and wondering why the people don't respond like "they're supposed to."

I also wonder if this move by the administration won't set off a wave of entrepreneurs. If this isn't an inducement to quit your job and start your own (small) business, I don't know what is...

Yup, good call re entrepeneurs, little plans ticking along over here with my affinity group, our plan is, if we are the people stocking the shelves, we are people other people want to have around. Just getting our flagship product towards EU legality testing with our small cosmetics production startup.
