troubledThe semi-open posts  I've hosted here on the Covid-19 narrative, the inadequately tested experimental drugs for it, and the whole cascading mess surrounding them have continued to field a huge number of comments, so I'm opening another space for discussion. The rules are the same as before:

1. If you plan on parroting the party line of the medical industry and its paid shills, please go away. This is a place for people to talk openly, honestly, and freely about their concerns that the party line in question is dangerously flawed and that actions being pushed by the medical industry et al. are causing injury and death. It is not a place for you to dismiss those concerns. Anyone who wants to hear the official story and the arguments in favor of it can find those on hundreds of thousands of websites.

2. If you plan on insisting that the current situation is the result of a deliberate plot by some villainous group of people or other, please go away. There are tens of thousands of websites currently rehashing various conspiracy theories about the Covid-19 outbreak and the vaccines. This is not one of them. What we're exploring is the likelihood that what's going on is the product of the same arrogance, incompetence, and corruption that the medical industry and its tame politicians have displayed so abundantly in recent decades. That possibility deserves a space of its own for discussion, and that's what we're doing here.

3. If you don't believe in treating people with common courtesy, please go away. I have, and enforce, a strict courtesy policy on my blogs and online forums, and this is no exception. The sort of schoolyard bullying that takes place on so many other internet forums will get you deleted and banned here. No, I don't care if you disagree with that: my journal, my rules.

With that said, the floor is open for discussion.

That's one of the data points which made me decide it's probably not safe to take the shots: when medical workers would rather lose their jobs than take something, there's something very wrong with it....

Yup, me too.

I initially had a "wait and see" attitude towards these vaccines. (I was always against mandates on principal, but in no way against the vaccines on principal, as long as it was voluntary.) But I've long since moved into the firm NO camp. This is one of the reasons.

The other reason is the notable number of cardiovascular problems that seems to be happening to people this year. I keep hearing about heart attacks and strokes among people who did not previously have serious health problems and/or who were not all that old.

We are not getting the whole story, not by a long shot.

My medical provider Nifty Healthcare Network (not their real name) sent out an email bulletin on August 11 saying the State had mandated that by Sept 30, all healthcare workers in the state would be either vaccinated, or "those with medical or religious exemptions will be tested twice weekly." In other words, not a lot of wiggle room for my favorites doctors and nurses. "We will comply with the mandate," said the email.

Then on Sept 3 I get another email bulletin from Nifty Healthcare Network that "the recent COVID-19 surge is impacting our staffing levels" and "these challenges are requiring us to temporarily consolidate some services and locations." As in, they are short-staffed and closing some offices and labs for the time being.

Hmmm.
Still praying for the welfare of my favorite doctors and nurses.

The question is how many people are they prepared to lose? How much revenue? When it grabs them by the wallet I fully expect them to walk back the mandate.

“What had happened was…”

And failing that, how long before mandate free facilities swoop them (I.e. take their business)? Wouldn’t be impossible for an employee owned healthcare operation to get up and rolling. Possibly using some emergency exemptions to say…buy an old motel or rent some office space… could even advertise vaccines not required…just thinking out loud. 😉

My husband's arthritis and rheumatism doctors put out a memo to all their patients to not get any boosters. The doctors used to be supporters of vaccinations. They are now chary of them since the vaccinations have a profound effect on their patients, more so than the delta var.
