Pandemic or no pandemic, life goes on, and for me that involves a certain number of podcasts. This time I'm on the Center for Progressive Urban Politics podcast with hosts Kevin Lynn and Steve Lamb, discussing the current coronavirus outbreak, the upcoming election, and much more. Check it out on YouTube here.

Date: 2020-04-01 02:12 am (UTC)a solid interview! I find it slightly ironic that you participate in podcasts named The Center for Progressive Urban Politics, since you don't believe in Progress, but its good to talk to people across the aisle.

Date: 2020-04-02 04:25 am (UTC)Your writing and his videos make about 80% of the content I watch on the internet.
I have asked him on his opinion on the issue of peak oil, and he told me he was aware of the gravity of the situation, but the community around him do not seem to really know about the issue. I asked him today if he'd welcome you to have a discussion, and he answered that in inviting people to talk he is interested in furthering his goals as a leftist.
I wonder if you'd be interested to have a conversation with him in a similar tune to your "open letter to the activist community". A sort of meeting point between a progressive like him and an if-it-ain't-broke-don't-fix-it-conservative like yourself (that's how I've come to synthesize Burkean Conservatism. Please correct me if I'm wrong).
I truly believe that the progressive left could use some sobering up and this could help do that. Would you be interested in doing that?
His name is Vaush, if you wanna check him out, though you'll probably find his video content uninteresting.

number of women coming direct from New York City going to hospitals in southern New Hampshire to have their babies. I'm guessing more likely from the upper crust, not the lower classes as it's at least a four hour drive from there to here.
