Sacred Geometry Oracle Delayed

With that in mind, Aeon Books has had to postpone the release of The Sacred Geometry Oracle until April of 2021. Those who've ordered advance copies will still get them; alternatively you can contact the publisher for a prompt refund. In the meantime, I'm going to speed up work on the system of occult training and practice that relies on this deck, with the hope of getting as much of it as possible into print in the months following the Oracle's release.
Thank you for your patience! At least oracle decks aren't as unavoidable a necessity as, say, toilet paper...

Date: 2020-03-27 07:07 pm (UTC)You’ve probably got a variety of reasons not to do an early distribution electronically via pdf but as I’ve found recently, given the current circumstances - the people I do business have been willing to allow variances on contracts in order to let people survive. It’s easy to copy pdfs, but of course they can be watermarked and even sold on ‘print this out and delete the file’ promise.
Oh well. I will just have to content myself with getting hold of the Thibault translation which sounds fascinating. I suspect my days of poking swords at people are done, but there’s this novel I’m writing.....

Date: 2020-03-28 03:51 am (UTC)I didn’t ask this before because I was planning on just waiting for the new material. But as I own the old version, may I ask— you mentioned that you had revised your notion of the spiral somewhat since the original publication. As the spiral will be reordered In the deck (and a few other cards renumbered as a result), is it okay to ask what its new number will be? Also, I’m sure that the previous text is enough to get started with, but do you by any chance have anything new to say about the spiral for when we consider it in meditation?

Date: 2020-03-28 03:25 pm (UTC)It's really fantastic. I've learned more abstract occult concepts through this deck and its meditation exercises than any book I've read. The guidance has also been stellar. It's the most responsive method of divination I've experienced with cards in present and future positions routinely showing up in the past position when I've overcome the represented hurdle. Having this kind of progress marker as a solo practitioner is something I've desired for a long time.
I'll still buy the new deck to see the updates and to give readings to friends and family.
I am also supremely interested in the system of occult training and practice you're working on for sacred geometers. The SGO has caused me to seriously re-evaluate the way I see the world and shifted me from linear thinking toward seeing spiral patterns of expansion, limitation, and contraction everywhere--it's a little like Junji Ito's graphic novel Uzumaki to be honest. At the same time, it's causing me to scrutinize occult practices and see limitations and missed opportunities I haven't before. A working system of practices is going to be vital benchmark I can use to gauge the validity of such evaluations.
