smudge for the winWe are now in the fourth year of these open posts. When I first posted a tentative hypothesis on the course of the Covid phenomenon, I had no idea that discussion on the subject would still be necessary more than three years later, much less that it would turn into so lively, complex, and troubling a conversation. Still, here we are. Crude death rates and other measures of collapsing public health are anomalously high in many countries, but nobody in authority wants to talk about the inadequately tested experimental Covid injections that are the most likely cause; public health authorities government shills for the pharmaceutical industry are still trying to push through laws that will allow them to force vaccinations on anyone they want; public trust in science is collapsing; and the story continues to unfold.

So it's time for another open post. The rules are the same as before:

1. If you plan on parroting the party line of the medical industry and its paid shills, please go away. This is a place for people to talk openly, honestly, and freely about their concerns that the party line in question is dangerously flawed and that actions being pushed by the medical industry and its government enablers are causing injury and death on a massive scale. It is not a place for you to dismiss those concerns. Anyone who wants to hear the official story and the arguments in favor of it can find those on hundreds of thousands of websites.

2. If you plan on insisting that the current situation is the result of a deliberate plot by some villainous group of people or other, please go away. There are tens of thousands of websites currently rehashing various conspiracy theories about the Covid-19 outbreak and the vaccines. This is not one of them. What we're exploring is the likelihood that what's going on is the product of the same arrogance, incompetence, and corruption that the medical industry and its wholly owned politicians have displayed so abundantly in recent decades. That possibility deserves a space of its own for discussion, and that's what we're doing here.

3. If you plan on using rent-a-troll derailing or disruption tactics, please go away. I'm quite familiar with the standard tactics used by troll farms to disrupt online forums, and am ready, willing, and able -- and in fact quite eager -- to ban people permanently for engaging in them here. Oh, and I also lurk on other Covid-19 vaccine skeptic blogs, so I'm likely to notice when the same posts are showing up on more than one venue.

4. If you plan on making off topic comments, please go away. This is an open post for discussion of the Covid epidemic, the vaccines, drugs, policies, and other measures that supposedly treat it, and other topics directly relevant to those things. It is not a place for general discussion of unrelated topics. Nor is it a place to ask for medical advice; giving such advice, unless you're a licensed health care provider, legally counts as practicing medicine without a license and is a crime in the US. Don't even go there.

5. If you don't believe in treating people with common courtesy, please go away. I have, and enforce, a strict courtesy policy on my blogs and online forums, and this is no exception. The sort of schoolyard bullying that takes place on so many other internet forums will get you deleted and banned here. Also, please don't drag in current quarrels about sex, race, religions, etc. No, I don't care if you disagree with that: my journal, my rules.

6. Please don't just post bare links without explanation. A sentence or two telling readers what's on the other side of the link is a reasonable courtesy, and if you don't include it, your attempted post will be deleted.

Please also note that nothing posted here should be construed as medical advice, which neither I nor the commentariat (excepting those who are licensed medical providers) are qualified to give. Please take your medical questions to the licensed professional provider of your choice.

With that said, the floor is open for discussion.

2001 Germs book

Would highly recommend the channel Housatonic.live for the recent audiobook reading of the 2001 book "Germs" by Judith Miller, Stephen Engelberg, and William Broad.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mG0vao4kX8g&ab_channel=HousatonicLive2 (Chapter 1)
https://stream.gigaohm.bio/c/housatonic/videos

Interesting story behind this reading. The channel was planning to simply play the Audible audiobook but it appears that about 30%+ of the book content has been removed from the audiobook with no mention of its abridgement, so he is filling in the gaps where it comes up.

This book was published September 7th or 9th 2001 and sets up a scenario where a biological terror attack would necessitate the adoption of gene therapy to protect the US military. Many familiar faces and connections to the covid fiasco are outlined by the reader, particularly people who actively made an effort to take the stage such as Meryl Nass who is named directly.

The points of interest are too large to count. Right now, on Chapter 12 titled the Future, the entire chapter was removed from the audiobook. It does raise how important physical books are, especially with non-fiction where it is easy to take out content without anyone noticing.

What the channel owner highlights is how telling books are when they foresee events that did not go as planned. Of course there was no biological terror attack, there were some anthrax letters (which the author of the book happened to receive), and world events took quite a turn with the security fears of 9/11. It reminded me of JMGs Green Wizardy reading list, where one of the list is to find a book that predicted a future that did not come to pass.

"Trump signs executive order setting 30-day deadline for drugmakers to lower prescription drug costs"

https://apnews.com/article/trump-prescription-drugs-prices-most-favored-nation-4c620a32ccd193b793ba1558f3fe93e0

What do you all think the impact of this will be? I am not looking for more critical analysis than the rosy scenario that the drug prices will magically come down. How will the companies, politicians and judges play interference with this executive order?

Hot takes

My hot takes on it are that first of all, drug prices will go up outside the US.

Secondly, many people in the US who are dependent on expensive prescription drugs for which they have to pay out of pocket (whether wholly or partially), will wake up—— maybe gingerly, maybe all of a sudden—— to the possibility that maybe, just maybe, the Bad Orange Man ain't akshully Literally Hitler and RFK ain't akshully a kook. And they will start to wonder, um, how come President Obama and Senators Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren, and all their ilk, never did this?

Thirdly, this is such a bold move for Trump and for RFK, it squigees the Casey Means as Surgeon General circus over to the peewee problem league.

Fourthly, while there will be pushback from affected interests, I think they're going to find themselves pushing on a string.

He signed a similar EO in his first term that didn't amount to much, though the administration is far more proactive this time around, so I am hopeful but won't hold my breath. As Karl Denninger points out (https://market-ticker.org/akcs-www?post=253274) there are already laws on the books to combat this, they simply haven't been enforced. A few perp walks by Pharma execs would make me much more optimistic. I expect some price lowering, but we will have to wait and see how comprehensive this actually is.

1st term: it made insulin affordable. That was HUGE for a whole lot of people.

But yes, Denninger's right about that one: we need to enforce the existing laws.

I'm going to wait to see what happens with regards to sec. 5 (b) (iii), and the earlier executive order from April 15*. One of the things I'm not sure Karl Denninger grasps is that changing government policies can be quite difficult, even if it is just "enforce the law". One of the major differences between Trump's first term and second is that right now he is a lot better about following the procedures that outline how the government has to proceed to do things. This slows things down, but it also means that whenever he takes significant action it is legally sound and so survives the court challenges even with the biased system.

I therefore think this order cannot be viewed independently of the others he has been signing. Including the DOJ in section 13 of the order from April 15, where HHS is telling the rest of the government what steps are needed to deal with anti-competitive practices within the medical sphere, makes me think there's a decent chance that there will be criminal charges being brought by the end of the year.

This is amusing in a schadenfreude kind of way: https://x.com/toobaffled/status/1921847073357562115.

Thus, the Davo crowd is very worried about flying in jets with vaccinated pilots. I actually know through family information that unvaccinated pilots are indeed making a killing flying private planes for the wealthy.

This suggests that if there was a mad conspiracy to de-populate the world, likely the WEF wasn't in on it. Although I am convicted that they had grand plans to use the COVID crisis for their own ends.

I wouldn't count on that second part.

I run in several PMC circles and the TDS is as bad as ever, and has now been joined by MDS (Musk Derangement Syndrome) and KDS (Kennedy Derangement Syndrome). Trump could nationalize healthcare in the US tomorrow - something they've claimed to want forever - and make all their drugs free, and all of a sudden the liberal PMC would instantly flip sides and declare that nationalized healthcare doesn't work after all and is bad for the economy. None of it is about policy or outcomes or reality, it's all just tribal identity as instructed by the MSM. The left used to LIKE Musk and RFK Jr., years ago, until they were instructed to hate them. The propaganda is more real to them than any reality on the ground ever could be.

Both Snopes and Politifact rate this claim as false.

However... I did a search using Yandex and found multiple alternative news sites talking about unvaccinated pilots being in demand and about WEF people using them.

So - is this Misinformation or Missing Information?...

Aircraft don't care about your ideological fantasies. You force your ideology on an aircraft, it'll kill you and whoever else you collide with. I guess the will to live is greater than the nonsense they believe in.

And what goes for pilots also goes for the mechanics maintaining those planes too.

FWIW, that claim about the Davos crowd preferring unvexed pilots has been making the rounds for a couple of years. I find it half dubious, at best. If they were truly concerned, then they should also be worried about the shots that they themselves took (yes, they did). But they're not detoxing for the most part...

The pace of the damage is picking up everywhere.. If you get easily depressed, please don't read anymore.

Seems like almost every mass run with at least a few thousand participants would see 1 death nowadays.
Friend from Melbourne sent me a link about 10 traffic deaths within the space of 48 hrs... I sent him a picture of local SG bus not able to make the right turn at a major junction and slamming into the condo building behind the traffic lights instead. For those that want to see the photo: https://mustsharenews.com/bus-grange-road/

More drivers seem to be increasingly oblivious that they're not aware of ambulances with sirens blaring right behind them, and not giving way as they should. Quite a few car cam videos of such.

Driving on the road can be considered a 2-D spatial exercise.... while flying could be 3-d (up/down/change in elevation).

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/airport-plane-helicopter-reagan-investigation-b2744060.html

Just a few months after a US army helicopter crashed into a commercial airliner, we have yet another army helicopter doing a scenic wandering.... and forcing planes to abort landings. People are literally losing track of where they are.

AS for the WEF... they've been very open about the reset they wanted us to have, which included prescribed movements (15min cities), less meat (eat ze bugs) and yes, we could do with a lot less people. They just didn't realize they were going to be part of the cull.
