Seems like a good time to explore some more arcane internet protocols (like I2P) that are more resistant to censorship. I know very little about such alternatives, basically that they exist and are much less convenient. I want to get more up to speed.
JMG, whatever you have in mind for that backup site, if possible, please give us its IP address as well as its URL. That way, it's pretty simple to get to the site even if its DNS records are sabotaged (that's roughly analogous to erasing someone's name and phone number from the phone book.)
For what its worth, so far, all I've seen are a few errors that look like either database or caching server errors at Dreamwidth. Nothing that looks like a "site not found." All the errors have recognizably come from Dreamwidth.
