Open (More or Less) Post on Covid 184

We are now in the fourth year of these open posts. When I first posted a tentative hypothesis on the course of the Covid phenomenon, I had no idea that discussion on the subject would still be necessary more than three years later, much less that it would turn into so lively, complex, and troubling a conversation. Still, here we are. Crude death rates and other measures of collapsing public health are anomalously high in many countries, but nobody in authority wants to talk about the inadequately tested experimental Covid injections that are the most likely cause; So it's time for another open post. The rules are the same as before:
1. If you plan on parroting the party line of the medical industry and its paid shills, please go away. This is a place for people to talk openly, honestly, and freely about their concerns that the party line in question is dangerously flawed and that actions being pushed by the medical industry and its government enablers are causing injury and death on a massive scale. It is not a place for you to dismiss those concerns. Anyone who wants to hear the official story and the arguments in favor of it can find those on hundreds of thousands of websites.
2. If you plan on insisting that the current situation is the result of a deliberate plot by some villainous group of people or other, please go away. There are tens of thousands of websites currently rehashing various conspiracy theories about the Covid-19 outbreak and the vaccines. This is not one of them. What we're exploring is the likelihood that what's going on is the product of the same arrogance, incompetence, and corruption that the medical industry and its wholly owned politicians have displayed so abundantly in recent decades. That possibility deserves a space of its own for discussion, and that's what we're doing here.
3. If you plan on using rent-a-troll derailing or disruption tactics, please go away. I'm quite familiar with the standard tactics used by troll farms to disrupt online forums, and am ready, willing, and able -- and in fact quite eager -- to ban people permanently for engaging in them here. Oh, and I also lurk on other Covid-19 vaccine skeptic blogs, so I'm likely to notice when the same posts are showing up on more than one venue.
4. If you plan on making off topic comments, please go away. This is an open post for discussion of the Covid epidemic, the vaccines, drugs, policies, and other measures that supposedly treat it, and other topics directly relevant to those things. It is not a place for general discussion of unrelated topics. Nor is it a place to ask for medical advice; giving such advice, unless you're a licensed health care provider, legally counts as practicing medicine without a license and is a crime in the US. Don't even go there.
5. If you don't believe in treating people with common courtesy, please go away. I have, and enforce, a strict courtesy policy on my blogs and online forums, and this is no exception. The sort of schoolyard bullying that takes place on so many other internet forums will get you deleted and banned here. Also, please don't drag in current quarrels about sex, race, religions, etc. No, I don't care if you disagree with that: my journal, my rules.
6. Please don't just post bare links without explanation. A sentence or two telling readers what's on the other side of the link is a reasonable courtesy, and if you don't include it, your attempted post will be deleted.
Please also note that nothing posted here should be construed as medical advice, which neither I nor the commentariat (excepting those who are licensed medical providers) are qualified to give. Please take your medical questions to the licensed professional provider of your choice.
With that said, the floor is open for discussion.

Date: 2025-02-15 06:25 pm (UTC)As regards the concept of "lifestyle changes" I would also note that this type of language has been in use for DECADES to divert attention from "toxic industrial processes and practices". While it is true that some lifestyles are healthier than others, the fact is that there is NO lifestyle that guarantees good health or that eliminates mortality. So, while this is a conversation that it is ocasionally useful to have in certain individual cases, it is not a conversation that is capable of being transformative at the scale of culture and society.
We have already spent decades seeing the media and popular clinical science frame every health issue in terms of a person's lifestyle "choices". It has never endangered the career of a journalist, doctor or scientist to blame bad health on "choices" such as drinking alcohol, taking drugs, smoking cigarettes, and overeating food, especially processed food. But how many of us "chose" to live in places poisoned by industrial pollutants, to drink waters infused with chemical and pharmaceutically active waste, breathing air laced with industrial emissions, and buzzing with artificial EMF's. And yet we do, and these things also make us sick. And is it not true that any journalist, scientist or doctor who seeks to frame health issues in the context of industrial pollutants, toxins and/or EMF's can be guaranteed the same kind of cancellation and censorship and loss of licencing/funds etc that we have been watching up close and personal in these threads?
I would definitely like to see very, very careful disambiguation of both of these concepts - "lifestyle choices" and "disease prevention" - before reading this paragraph as anything positive.

Well, we saw the whole "virtue signalling" thing divide families in relation to what could be said, and what was not PC to say...
It would be a tragedy if this devolves into virtue signalling and a whole new concept of LC (Lifestyle Correctness), where all the peanuts in the peanut gallery get used up throwing them at each other, instead of at those who are contributing to the toxic environment that we, and our fellow earth living species, must inhabit.
If it is to do any good at all, #MAHA needs to keep the focus firmly on the industries, the regulators, and the production, processing and selling side of the equation - requiring producers and sellers (especially large ones whose impact is correspondingly large in scale) to demonstrate product safety before putting something on the market, and to effectively support people who are harmd to obtain help and compensation. However if #MAHA forgets to resolutely safeguard the individual's right to say "what I put in, on, or around my body is nobody's business but my own", this movement may find itself getting easily derailed.
Beware of splitters and entryists doing missionary outreach with this or that diet, this or that lifestyle choice, this or that absolute dogma. On this last, just for example, Celia Farber has spoken of how resolute, dogmatic disputes regarding the existence or non-existence of viruses totally derailed and killed the growing movement in the 90's of people who opposed the HIV/AIDS/ART [possibly bioweapon?] campaign. A lesson to learn from!
And be careful out there. Our health is OUR wealth, not theirs!

For this reason, although I did not see that NYT article at the time, I do not have a problem believing that that article did appear and that now, now that the climate is a-changin', the NYT has done its utmost to bury it.

Summary for those who don't want to read the links: Extraordinarily dangerous gain-of-function research on bird flu is greenlit at the NIH as of February 8. As of February 14, RFK Jr. FIRES them all!!
I know there's more to the story than anything Science.org is reporting but I found this jawdropping. Full speed ahead, indeed!!

Date: 2025-02-17 07:28 pm (UTC)The authors have taken small absolute numbers and somehow turned them into huge ratios, but you can't do that meaningfully without knowing what the correct denominators are. For example, VAERS has 40 reports of fetal malformation associated with covid "vaxxes", vs. 2 with flu vaxxes since 1990 and 8 with "all other vaccines." This gets turned into "52 times more frequent" by assuming that the correct measure is reports per *month*, not per woman exposed. That doesn't compute. Lots of women were coerced to get covid jabs in pregnancy, but how many women get "other" non-flu vaccines in pregnancy? Before the latest RSV-vax-pushing tendency, probably few. Since there's maybe a 3% malformation rate normally, there have to have been thousands of malformations following flu vax (even if uncaused by it) that were not reported. Anyway, the covid "vax" certainly can't increase the *real* malformation rate 52 times, or that would mean that ca. 150% of exposed babies were malformed.
This suggests that part of what they are really measuring is variation in *reporting* rates. It would be of interest to compare the 40 months of covid-jab reports with the same period of "other-vax" reports, since the observed toxicity of the covid jabs allowed many people to become aware of the existence of VAERS and their right to make reports to it. I'd predict that "other-vax" reports per month increased post-2020.
