full immunity for someWe are now in the fourth year of these open posts. When I first posted a tentative hypothesis on the course of the Covid phenomenon, I had no idea that discussion on the subject would still be necessary more than three years later, much less that it would turn into so lively, complex, and troubling a conversation. Still, here we are. Crude death rates and other measures of collapsing public health are anomalously high in many countries, but nobody in authority wants to talk about the inadequately tested experimental Covid injections that are the most likely cause; public health authorities government shills for the pharmaceutical industry are still trying to push through laws that will allow them to force vaccinations on anyone they want; public trust in science is collapsing; and the story continues to unfold.

So it's time for another open post. The rules are the same as before:

1. If you plan on parroting the party line of the medical industry and its paid shills, please go away. This is a place for people to talk openly, honestly, and freely about their concerns that the party line in question is dangerously flawed and that actions being pushed by the medical industry and its government enablers are causing injury and death on a massive scale. It is not a place for you to dismiss those concerns. Anyone who wants to hear the official story and the arguments in favor of it can find those on hundreds of thousands of websites.

2. If you plan on insisting that the current situation is the result of a deliberate plot by some villainous group of people or other, please go away. There are tens of thousands of websites currently rehashing various conspiracy theories about the Covid-19 outbreak and the vaccines. This is not one of them. What we're exploring is the likelihood that what's going on is the product of the same arrogance, incompetence, and corruption that the medical industry and its wholly owned politicians have displayed so abundantly in recent decades. That possibility deserves a space of its own for discussion, and that's what we're doing here.

3. If you plan on using rent-a-troll derailing or disruption tactics, please go away. I'm quite familiar with the standard tactics used by troll farms to disrupt online forums, and am ready, willing, and able -- and in fact quite eager -- to ban people permanently for engaging in them here. Oh, and I also lurk on other Covid-19 vaccine skeptic blogs, so I'm likely to notice when the same posts are showing up on more than one venue.

4. If you plan on making off topic comments, please go away. This is an open post for discussion of the Covid epidemic, the vaccines, drugs, policies, and other measures that supposedly treat it, and other topics directly relevant to those things. It is not a place for general discussion of unrelated topics. Nor is it a place to ask for medical advice; giving such advice, unless you're a licensed health care provider, legally counts as practicing medicine without a license and is a crime in the US. Don't even go there.

5. If you don't believe in treating people with common courtesy, please go away. I have, and enforce, a strict courtesy policy on my blogs and online forums, and this is no exception. The sort of schoolyard bullying that takes place on so many other internet forums will get you deleted and banned here. Also, please don't drag in current quarrels about sex, race, religions, etc. No, I don't care if you disagree with that: my journal, my rules.

6. Please don't just post bare links without explanation. A sentence or two telling readers what's on the other side of the link is a reasonable courtesy, and if you don't include it, your attempted post will be deleted.

Please also note that nothing posted here should be construed as medical advice, which neither I nor the commentariat (excepting those who are licensed medical providers) are qualified to give. Please take your medical questions to the licensed professional provider of your choice.

With that said, the floor is open for discussion.

The origins do all seem quite muddy.

I can't help but feel the reason that the threat of war didn't really happen is that there were cahoots between China, USA and European interests in the viruses history. I do think it got out quite a lot earlier than January 2020 and I also believe the development of the virus was likely spread across continents, including the US. I also think paranoia hit when the realisation of the consequences of the escape revealed itself - each country reverted to type and cut communication.

To me it was pretty clear after Trump failing to stump Huawei, this followed.

Hmmm, and now we have Deepseek, will we have another spat. We shall see in March.

I haven't looked deeply at the first appearance of the virus, but I've always thought that the Samoan mandatory measles vaccination was suspicious. Like it was a test run. It gets even weirder now RFK jr is implicated.

Timeline:
June 2019 - RFK visits Samoa. He is accused of campaigning against vaccines but claims it was to study the effects of a largely unvaccinated against measles population. After the death of 2 babies in 2018 the vaccination rates in Samoa plummeted.
August 2019 - allegdly an infected visitor to Samoa starts a measles outbreak
December 2019 - Samoa makes vaccination against measles mandatory.

Must add it seems that 'gain of function' research is once more being shared across nations. Some people just don't learn.

e.g. this from The Bad Cat back in late '22

I maintain I had it spring 2019. I described it with the phrase 'chemical warfare' before I knew there was going to be a problem i.e. all the crud that soon followed. So do I believe there is covid? I guess I do. Whatever it is.

Can I kindly ask your general region? Were you at the time in US, were you at the time near a Fort Something?!?

Not near a fort but in the biggest Canadian city - starts with T. :-) Close to the U.S.A.

A lot of travel back and forth to China from here. Not that I'm blaming China.

We also have chemtrails galore. Sometimes giant X's in the sky. Utterly shocking (to me anyway).
I don't know if people even see these.
I once left a shopping mall and saw the most astounding rainbow overhead and everybody around me
walked through the parking lot looking at their phones.

I also maintain I had it in February 2019. I was working in a doctor's office and there was a "weird bug" going around. I was sicker than I'd ever been in my life with walking pneumonia (but still had to show up to work everyday because there was no such thing as a sick day when you worked in healthcare then) and went to bed every night wondering if I was going to drown in my sleep. Weirdly, my husband didn't catch it from me, though at that point we had separate bedrooms because it was better for our sleep with our wildly different work schedules.

He did get sick in December 2019, however, and I remember it was very strange because usually, he would get sick with something and immediately give it to me, and I'd be down and out for weeks. But I didn't catch whatever it was from him that time, and he was sicker than he'd been in years. Afterwards, his breathing was bad for 2 years, until he had a bilateral pulmonary embolism in 2022 and got put on blood thinners.

Our theory: we both had it, and his gave him microclots in his lungs. (The PE was caused by a procedure in his leg that sent a leg clot up to the lungs, but when they did the scans of his lungs it seemed there was more than just the big clot in the middle, though inconclusive. At any rate, after he was on blood thinners for a while, his breathing was much better than it had been for the 2 years leading up to it, and continues to be better now that he's off the blood thinners.)

We both also got it again in summer 2022, just after he'd been in the hospital with his PE. That time it was barely more than a case of "con crud". And then again in summer 2024, when it was really bad, though no where near the level of what I went through in 2019.

So yeah, I believe it's real. It seems that 2 years of natural immunity seems to hold true for unjabbed, at least in our experience.
