Long story, short: I asked my doctor yesterday to submit a VAERS report on my behalf for what is clearly an adverse reaction to the vaccine. Doc responded, "What's VAERS?" I kid you not.
Doc is very nice, listened patiently, and finally relented by adding a note to my chart that I had possibly suffered an adverse reaction to the covid vaccine.
Then, doc says, "For your condition, you should take this medication for the rest of your life." I very respectfully said no thanks. Pre-covid me would have said, "Sure! Lemme have it." Post-covid, I just instinctually don't trust the system.
Just a data point. I get a lot out of reading your comments, so I thought it only fair to share mine.
In part due to JMG's influence, my wife and I quit our jobs and moved to the country several years ago. We live on an island, operate a very small farm, grow our own food, cooperate with our neighbors. Ironically, we're enjoying a much, much higher quality life than if the system were still humming along fine, with us back in our cubicles punching keys, making lots of money. So thanks JMG, and the entire commentariat. The future is not dark, it's just different.
