I will not wear it, sam I amWe are now in the third year of these open posts. As the phrase "died suddenly" repeats in the mass media like a mantra, statistics for work days lost to illness and all-cause mortality mount up in heavily vaccinated nations, and more and more ugly facts about the official response to Covid spill out into public, we are entering what may well turn out to be the most difficult period of the Covid disaster -- the phase in which denial rises in lockstep with the death rate, and a great many people try not to admit what has been done to them by the people and institutions they trusted. It could get ugly, folks.

So it's time for another open post. The rules are the same as before:

1. If you plan on parroting the party line of the medical industry and its paid shills, please go away. This is a place for people to talk openly, honestly, and freely about their concerns that the party line in question is dangerously flawed and that actions being pushed by the medical industry et al. are causing injury and death. It is not a place for you to dismiss those concerns. Anyone who wants to hear the official story and the arguments in favor of it can find those on hundreds of thousands of websites.

2. If you plan on insisting that the current situation is the result of a deliberate plot by some villainous group of people or other, please go away. There are tens of thousands of websites currently rehashing various conspiracy theories about the Covid-19 outbreak and the vaccines. This is not one of them. What we're exploring is the likelihood that what's going on is the product of the same arrogance, incompetence, and corruption that the medical industry and its tame politicians have displayed so abundantly in recent decades. That possibility deserves a space of its own for discussion, and that's what we're doing here.

3. If you plan on using rent-a-troll derailing or disruption tactics, please go away. I'm quite familiar with the standard tactics used by troll farms to disrupt online forums, and am ready, willing, and able -- and in fact quite eager -- to ban people permanently for engaging in them here. Oh, and I also lurk on other Covid-19 vaccine skeptic blogs, so I'm likely to notice when the same posts are showing up on more than one venue.

4. If you don't believe in treating people with common courtesy, please go away. I have, and enforce, a strict courtesy policy on my blogs and online forums, and this is no exception. The sort of schoolyard bullying that takes place on so many other internet forums will get you deleted and banned here. Also, please don't drag in current quarrels about sex, race, religions, etc. No, I don't care if you disagree with that: my journal, my rules.

With that said, the floor is open for discussion.

anecdata; my firmly PMC brother and his wife were, until a couple of years ago, generally very healthy. she's a good cook and doesn't work, prepared most things from scratch and they both were in robust health. the previous 2 years have seen much change there; she currently has bad nerve pain, so the solution is currently to seek ever stronger pain killers from the doctor. reminds me of the old adage about insanity being repeating the same mistakes and expecting different results. i've tried recommending a few different things (eg natto, as there is some research showing it is effective for sciatica), but to no avail.

I took a friend in for blood tests at the nearest city last week. The nurse who drew the blood was very happy and chatty. She very happily, chattily mentioned that lots of middle-aged men are showing up with shredded lungs due to Long Covid, and also her vaccinated brother has inexplicable eye trouble, and also the ventilators killed lots of Covid cases.

There was absolutely no attempt on her part to connect the dots. Just a cheerful acceptance of the party line.

Funny story, though: She's a Boomer and considers herself a rebel. She talked about singing 1960s protest songs in her yoga class when Russia invaded Ukraine.

Hey JMG I noticed your meme. Before you were saying that during the mandates you were wearing masks out of politeness for the civil cult, so I went along with it as well trying to be Druidly and all. Has that changed? I'm so over face diapers. It's almost an allergic reaction when I see one now.

Thanks to Jeff Russell for passing this one along:

As I read that article today, the light came on in my mind. It occurred to me just why it is that the virus narrative is so intractable, why it is that those who support it give that thousand-mile stare whenever someone tries to reason with them about it. The essence of it, like propaganda in all its forms, is that it is not meant to be either factual or fictional - so reasoning the accuracy or error of it is totally pointless. What it is meant to be is a stimulus to elicit a desired response from the general population, in the same way that ringing a bell got Mr. Pavlov's dogs drooling. If governments really are trying to manage countries on a stimulus-response basis, they've gotten more out of touch - and out of control - than we ever imagined.

And also explains why Mr. Trump is so hated by one faction and so loved by another: his efforts were directed at actually solving practical problems in feasible ways rather than simply herding the people like they were cattle. And though they tinkled and tinkled and tinkled at that bell, he never once drooled...

Mike Adams - COVID 2.0 The Coming IQ Test

"Truly, you'd have to be an oblivious idiot at this point to think the government's COVID orders are intended to benefit the people. You'd also have to be an idiot to think that N95 masks stop COVID transmission, that social distancing works or that COVID vaccines prevent infections and transmission.

COVID 1.0 was the training round, to present lessons in government tyranny and medical science fraud for all to witness. COVID 2.0 is the final exam to see who is stupid enough to still have not learned the lessons from the training round."

"At that time, I carried a mask in my pocket and put it on before going into a place that had a "mask required" sign. This time around,"

Does this mean you're expecting a return of widespread obsession over masking?

Given that there will be a next time in one form or another – even if the current 'Eris and Friends' trial balloon deflates over the next few weeks – I’ve started to think about what our would-be masters might do differently this time around time.

For those of us here in Canada and the 'blue' US, I would expect something like this might unfold:

1. The fear factor will be much stronger, with a designated evildoer (perhaps Putin or Xi?) and a more proximate scapegoat (Um… perhaps we’ll do?). Pangolins won’t cut it this time. Too cute. The narrative framing will have to be at the 'Ebola Meets Bioweapon' level to get much uptake at all.

2. Direct social media and communications control will hit harder and faster, with many accounts cancelled and sites 404 on day one. Domain delistings that impact both web and email are a good possibility. Indirect narrative control will be more subtle and insidious, with AI-enabled interception and modification of messaging, classic COINTELPRO-style 'lets-you-and-him-fight' provocations, and many other new and improved gaslighting techniques all widely deployed.

3. Emergency powers will be initiated as soon as the requisite provocation is arranged. Impressively rights-free mandates, fines, debanking, lawfare, and coercive nudging will be preplanned and ready to roll, targeted at both pre-identified and emergent resistant elements.

4. When the time is ripe, after some delays and setbacks to build dramatic tension, a new xRNA technology will miraculously be made available to the grateful population. (I expect the delivery system may be aerosolized/inhaled this time, to encourage higher compliance and demonstrate the benefits of 'progress').

5. If the timing and conditions are right, we can expect 'Operation Who’s Your Daddy' to sweep the Designated Saviour into office in the US. (If the timing and conditions are not auspicious… well… “we can hardly hold elections under these exceptional and unprecedented circumstances, now can we?”)

Of course things may not unfold at this level of intensity – the above is what I would expect from a well-coordinated, national intelligence-community managed campaign. If instead it is just an effort by grifters and select bureaucrats to relive their Covid 1.0 glory days, the push will be much less sweeping, and will probably fizzle out rapidly.

Also, while the above sounds impressively draconian, the scenario is almost all limited to the digital and media realms. It will be way harder to enforce the desired mandates and restrictions in the offline world this time around, especially if enough of us are willing to push back. Real-world civic resistance is not at all futile, and if it is widespread enough can effectively stop a primarily digital and media effort in its tracks.

Given the above scenario of what 'they' might do, what might we do?

Here are some things I plan to do differently:

- I will take a public stance. Covid 1.0 was a largely private matter for my wife and I, retreating into our home, garden and personal life until the madness ebbed. There were impacts on our lives, but we yielded ground to them in an organized retreat. I don’t believe that retreat is going to be a viable option this time: I will push back from the start in the ways that seem true and right to me.

- I will expect to be cut off from communications and resources. The information and resources I have on hand, and what may still be gleaned directly in the real world, will have to suffice. I will prepare to be coerced, fined and de-banked, and will do what I can to make us resilient to these pressures, including cash on hand, pre-payment of debts, and other sensible household-level preparations.

- I will observe and chronicle. Journalling and doing writing and research on an air-gapped (non-Internet connected) computer and on paper, stored in multiple formats and offline locations. I’m no Victor Klemperer – and hope I never have to be – but I can and will put words in a row to document the madness next time.

What about you? Is there something that you might do differently next time, that you are comfortable sharing on this public forum? (And that is in keeping with our host’s well-considered posting policies, of course!)

Masking and the vaccines strike me as a show of hands to identify who's onboard and who's not. I was listening when my divison VP advised me a few years ago, "Never confuse a show of hands with democracy". I took a third way and retired but that gets harder when a show of hands is required to buy groceries so I planted a 10,000 square ft garden. I know that at some point we will all have to show our hand to meet our needs, but not today. I'm going to make them work for it.

Ecosophia Prayer List

At this link is the full list of all of the requests for prayer that have recently appeared across the Ecosophia community. A printable version of the entire prayer list current as of 8/28 may be downloaded here. Please feel free to add any or all of the requests to your own prayers.

If I missed anybody, or if you would like to add a prayer request for yourself or anyone who has given you consent (or for whom a relevant person holds power of consent) to the list, please feel free to leave a comment below.

* * *

This week I would like to bring special attention to the following prayer requests.

•May Brother Kornhoer's son sleep apnea and empty nose syndrome both be healed, to allow him to get restorative sleep. UPDATE: Today, Tuesday 8/29, Brother Kornhoer's son is getting surgery to help to deal with the condition. May the surgery go excellently, and may he heal quickly.

Neptunesdolphin's husband has just had his big toe partially amputated due to a staph infection, and his diabetes has worsened in connection. He and she and son all are struggling to cope with the difficult situation, made no easier by the fact that all three have different varieties of mental impairment. May Neptunesdolphin's husband heal quickly and vigorously, and successfully manage his diabetes; and may her family all get through the situation successfully and with grace.

Lunar Apprentice, who has started a private medical practice, that he find the strength and the capability to successfully fulfill his self-appointed duties both to his patients and to his family, that the insurers contracting with his patients be favourably disposed towards the service he faithfully provides and pay as they are obliged, and that the flow of new patients increase sufficiently to support his medical practice.

Steve T's brother Matt is currently in the hospital after a sudden violent seizure, and his daughter is having extreme panic attacks; they were both in a terrible car accident last fall. Steve asks for prayers for Matt's recovery of health; for the emotional and psychological well-being of the rest of the family, including his wife Megan, his daughter Diana, and his young son Jake; and for the lifting of any spiritual harm afflicting the family.

Freddy, Ganeshling's neighbor's 10 year old son, hasn't spoken since a traumatic hospital stay a few years ago; for Freddy to start speaking again and to help him develop into a functional adult.

Tamanous's friend's brother David got in a terrible motorcycle accident and has been diagnosed as a quadriplegic given the resultant spinal damage; for healing and the positive outcomes of upcoming surgeries and rehabilitation, specifically towards him being able to walk and live a normal life once more.

Lp9's hometown, East Palestine, Ohio, for the safety and welfare of their people, animals and all living beings in and around East Palestine, and to improve the natural environment there to the benefit of all. The reasonable possibility exists that this is an environmental disaster on par with the worst America has ever seen. (Lp9 gives updates here and also here.)

Guidelines for how long prayer requests stay on the list, how to word requests, how to be added to the weekly email list, how to improve the chances of your prayer being answered, and several other common questions and issues, are now to be found at the Ecosophia Prayer List FAQ.

If there are any among you who might wish to join me in a bit of astrological timing, I pray each week for the health of all those with health problems on the list on the astrological hour of the Sun on Sundays, bearing in mind the Sun's rulerships of heart, brain, and vital energies. If this appeals to you, I invite you to join me.

Some mask reflections

Date: 2023-08-29 11:06 pm (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
My views on masks have evolved. I never thought they made any sense to stop this virus, it was more symbolic than anything ("This is really serious!!" and "I care, you care, we all care!") but it took a while for it to sink it with me what a seriously, over-the-top nasty thing it is to oblige people to cover their faces-- healthwise, and also psychologically. Doing this to anyone who doesn't wish it, and especially to people with dementia, deaf people, to children, and to anyone with breathing difficulties, or with facial sensitivies (allergies, neuralgia or other such issues), forcing a mask on them is just evil.

Now I'm at the point where I feel red-hot hostility towards the idea of wearing a mask. I do respect other people's right to wear a mask if they choose, and I try to avoid the "raspberry jam," as our kind host puts it (what goes around comes around), but I must admit, when I see a person wearing a mask, my thoughts about their character and intelligence are not of the most charitable nature.

Earlier on in this covidian epoch of epic nonsense, even though I realized that the masks were humbug, I did not always feel up possible confrontations with the Mask Karens and Mask Kens. I witnessed some really ghastly public screaming and yelling episodes over people not wearing masks. In those dark days I was having a rough time (weren't we all, in one way or another) and just trying to stay strong-- I didn't need the PTSD of getting screamed at directly. So I'd put the danged thing on when it was obligatory-- such as in the grocery store and on public transport-- but nose out.

Now, however, I feel very differently about the masks, and I would go to greater lengths to not wear one. If I had to, as for example, on an airplane (and you mess with airplane rules, whatever they may be, and all you'll get is arrested and hauled off the plane). I would wear one in such an instance, if I really had to travel, but the mask would say something on it to protest, such as "1984."

It would take A LOT, but A LOT more to get me to ever wear a mask again in a grocery store or restaurant. Now, I would risk getting yelled at. And if I could, I would go way, way, way out of my way to avoid a place that, on its own discretion, insisted on a mask.

I'm long past trying to talk to people about whether the masks work or not. The people who are all for masking, no matter what you say, what evidence you show them, they just go round and round with their crazy-shale. So I don't care what they think. I won't wear a mask, period. In case any masked person challenges me (and you know what, they may never!!) I am practicing my scary stare. And then, as I lock eyes with them, I would say, very, slowly, "Your mask has a booger on it."

If they try to bring back masks this time, I have some consequences to stare down.

Last time I could claim ignorance and sort of go along with the mandates. Not only that, but there was always a way around things – my job meant I got to go out with full justification (essential worker, and while I get the issues behind the label I called it a form of liberty), I could remove my mask when no one else was in the van with me, and I could negotiate the shots to a degree (first two I felt were necessary, once Omicron proved milder and a prophylactic against other variants I was happy to refuse boosters).

Now…where I work has changed. Presently I'm directly employed by a hospital system complete with benefits and a decent wage for the first time since I worked for UPS over two decades ago. It's nice, but I can see both a return to masking AND a requirement for the latest mRNA stuff.

In short, consequences will be real if doo-doo happens.

I can always do the "Mask only around clients" thing, but if new mRNA stuff becomes required it may be Quitting Time. And yes I'll quit, but with a bit of sadness as the moment I get something along the lines of what my Father got from General Motors things turn around and make keeping it a humiliating experience.

If that's how things end up going…So Be It. At least I can take it this time.
