The picture? I'm working my way through photos of my lineage, focusing on the teachers whose work has influenced me and the teachers who influenced them in turn. I'm currently tracing my Martinist lineage. That's rendered complex by the Martinist tradition that one does not name one's initiator, so we'll have to go back via slightly less evasive routes. Last week's honoree, Jean Bricaud, received the headship of the Martinist Order from this man, Henri-Charles Detre, who wrote under the pseudonym Teder. Detre was active in a great many occult circles in early twentieth century France; he was the head of the Ordre Kabbalistique de la Rose+Croix (Cabalistic Order of the Rose+Cross), headed several esoteric Masonic rites, and was also the chief of the French branch of the Ordo Templi Orientis (OTO) back in its pre-Crowley days. He headed the Martinist Order for only two years, from the death of Papus in 1916 to his own death in 1918.
Buy Me A Coffee
Ko-Fi
I've had several people ask about tipping me for answers here, and though I certainly don't require that I won't turn it down. You can use either of the links above to access my online tip jar; Buymeacoffee is good for small tips, Ko-Fi is better for larger ones. (I used to use PayPal but they developed an allergy to free speech, so I've developed an allergy to them.) If you're interested in political and economic astrology, or simply prefer to use a subscription service to support your favorite authors, you can find my Patreon page here and my SubscribeStar page here.

And don't forget to look up your Pangalactic New Age Soul Signature at CosmicOom.com.
With that said, have at it!

Re: The Hartlib Circle!
Date: 2023-07-10 05:34 am (UTC)You might want to have a look at Thomas Rudd as a potential link between Dee and the Hartlib circle, for that matter.

Date: 2023-07-10 06:06 am (UTC)Thanks for the heads-up regarding Thomas Rudd, will check for any links!
The political intrigue in Europe at the time, and development of better intelligence methods is fascinating. I have visualized Dee and Kelly tramping
around (mostly Kelly blundering) many times. I'm aware of "steganographia", though it's been awhile since discussing it.
Thanks JMG

Guess there's a First time for everything?
Just wanted to say that Yes, I'm following up on Rudd indeed.
I've compiled a good bit of data on Enochian over the years from numerous sources since first being exposed to it around 1977, with the Third Edition of the G'.'D'.', the "Blue Brick" hard cover. The First Single Volume ever? Some of this is from talking directly with other magicians, and some from slow methodical plodding, with which admittedly the internet has been a major tool.
With all that said, the major influences upon my own perceptions have been of course direct exposure to it, and talking directly with others about theirs.
Additionally, some episodes from Dolores Ashcroft-Nowicki & J.H. Brennen, which were not bad episodes, plus of course the more well known perceptions of Paul Foster Case, who has nothing good to say about working with it, influencing those traditionally descending from him, the BOTA, Fraternitas Lux Occulta, etc.
These are but a few highlights of research, there are other details that add or detract from (make more difficult) conceptualizing the whole system, for Me!
My perception is that "Barbarous Words of Power", "Sonics", from many different systems if Verbalized, Can produce some interesting effects, subject to a Myriad of other conditions at any given time. Pronouncing without verbalizing, or using the so-called "Great Voice", does not vibrate outwardly onto the dense physical, but still vibrates inwardly as expected, that's just My perception though.
As always, Thanks for Your advice, I value it Greatly!
