memeAs we move into the second year of these open posts, it's pretty clear that the official narrative is cracking as the toll of deaths and injuries from the Covid vaccines rises steadily and the vaccines themselves demonstrate their total uselesness at preventing Covid infection or transmission. It's still important to keep watch over the mis-, mal- and nonfeasance of our self-proclaimed health gruppenfuehrers, and the disastrous results of the Covid mania, but I think it's also time to begin thinking about what might be possible as the existing medical industry reels under the impact of its own self-inflicted injuries.

(Yes, the change in image theme reflects that; the earlier sequence served its purpose. With a nod to El Gato Malo (1, 2, 3), the posts to come will be headed by thoughtful memes relevant to the Covid mess. Yes, I'll take nominations -- you can post links in the thread.)

So it's time for another open post. The rules are the same as before:

1. If you plan on parroting the party line of the medical industry and its paid shills, please go away. This is a place for people to talk openly, honestly, and freely about their concerns that the party line in question is dangerously flawed and that actions being pushed by the medical industry et al. are causing injury and death. It is not a place for you to dismiss those concerns. Anyone who wants to hear the official story and the arguments in favor of it can find those on hundreds of thousands of websites.

2. If you plan on insisting that the current situation is the result of a deliberate plot by some villainous group of people or other, please go away. There are tens of thousands of websites currently rehashing various conspiracy theories about the Covid-19 outbreak and the vaccines. This is not one of them. What we're exploring is the likelihood that what's going on is the product of the same arrogance, incompetence, and corruption that the medical industry and its tame politicians have displayed so abundantly in recent decades. That possibility deserves a space of its own for discussion, and that's what we're doing here.

3. If you plan on using rent-a-troll derailing or disruption tactics, please go away. I'm quite familiar with the standard tactics used by troll farms to disrupt online forums, and am ready, willing, and able -- and in fact quite eager -- to ban people permanently for engaging in them here. Oh, and I also lurk on other Covid-19 vaccine skeptic blogs, so I'm likely to notice when the same posts are showing up on more than one venue.

4. If you don't believe in treating people with common courtesy, please go away. I have, and enforce, a strict courtesy policy on my blogs and online forums, and this is no exception. The sort of schoolyard bullying that takes place on so many other internet forums will get you deleted and banned here. No, I don't care if you disagree with that: my journal, my rules.

With that said, the floor is open for discussion.

Unexpected benefits

Just a musing:

Literally any day now I'm expecting an article from an MSM news outlet waste pipe to proclaim something along the lines of:

'Excess mortality is up 30% against pre-pandemic baselines. Here's why that's a good thing for your family and your wallet. Experts predict that rising death rates could stave off the worst impacts of inflation, lower property prices, help prevent climate change, and may even reduce the likelihood of future pandemics.
"I mean, one man's death is only a tragedy if you know them. If a million people die far away, does that bother you? No, in practical terms, to you, that's just a statistic. And if your gas bills at the pump go down a little, well, maybe you'll be thanking them that little bit for their sacrifice." said Professor Stahl Inn, of the Thanos centre for economic research.'

So yeah, basically expect the next phase in the media cycle to be that people dying in droves isn't all that bad after all.
I mean, if life gives you lemons, then legally mandate that people pour your lemonade in their eyes, and tell them the stinging sensation means it's working and make them do it twice more.

What's that saying which JMG likes about satire writing being the hardest job in the world at the moment...?

Joking aside though, I mention this as a slight warning. It's very tempting for those of us who resisted the pressure to jab to feel at least some ill-will, whether consciously or not, toward those whose who did get jabbed. A while back, someone mentioned how all this seemed like a cosmic test - can you resist the herd mentality? Well the herd are a fickle bunch, and can easily swing the other way. And the opposite of one bad idea is...?

They'll have plenty of history to plagiarize from.

I’d like to point out that there isn’t one herd. As just one example “the vast herds of Buffalo.” Herds. As in more than one. As in more than two. It’s so important to grasp that point as you implied. We are our own herd. The only thing up for debate is size.

We have done step 1 yet which is "it's not happening." Right now they are just ignoring it completely. First they have to publicly deny loudly that people are denying.

Then they'll say it's happening like you describe. I agree they'll lean heavy into the climate change and good for society bit.

Then the kicker - then the media wills say you deserve it happening to you and your family. Why are you afraid of you and your family members dying? Don't you know its better to die than to live?

And that's when JMG's vision he asked about the other week will start.

The media follows the same script every single time.

OP

Sorry, I may have missed this - what was JMG's vision?

Your satire is actually true - there will be many improvements to our lives if population decreases.

So the ill-will we feel toward the totalitarians might turn into good feelings - they sacrifice themselves for the society, just like they promised at the beginning of coflu. So I wish them good luck!
