Open (More or Less) Post on Covid 29

The semi-open posts  I've hosted here on the Covid-19 narrative, the inadequately tested experimental drugs for it, and the whole cascading mess surrounding them have continued to field a very high number of comments -- to understate the matter considerably! -- so I'm opening yet another space for discussion. The rules are the same as before: 

1. If you plan on parroting the party line of the medical industry and its paid shills, please go away. This is a place for people to talk openly, honestly, and freely about their concerns that the party line in question is dangerously flawed and that actions being pushed by the medical industry et al. are causing injury and death. It is not a place for you to dismiss those concerns. Anyone who wants to hear the official story and the arguments in favor of it can find those on hundreds of thousands of websites.

2. If you plan on insisting that the current situation is the result of a deliberate plot by some villainous group of people or other, please go away. There are tens of thousands of websites currently rehashing various conspiracy theories about the Covid-19 outbreak and the vaccines. This is not one of them. What we're exploring is the likelihood that what's going on is the product of the same arrogance, incompetence, and corruption that the medical industry and its tame politicians have displayed so abundantly in recent decades. That possibility deserves a space of its own for discussion, and that's what we're doing here. 
 
3. If you plan on using rent-a-troll derailing or disruption tactics, please go away. I'm quite familiar with the standard tactics used by troll farms to disrupt online forums, and am ready, willing, and able -- and in fact quite eager -- to ban people permanently for engaging in them here. Oh, and I also lurk on other Covid-19 vaccine skeptic blogs, so I'm likely to notice when the same posts are showing up on more than one venue. 

4. If you don't believe in treating people with common courtesy, please go away. I have, and enforce, a strict courtesy policy on my blogs and online forums, and this is no exception. The sort of schoolyard bullying that takes place on so many other internet forums will get you deleted and banned here. No, I don't care if you disagree with that: my journal, my rules. 

With that said, as Canadian officials launch a campaign of reprisals against citizens who supported a peaceful protest against government policy, and the words "died suddenly" become the favorite media euphemism of our time, the floor is open for discussion.

I for one, welcome the change in the official narrative. The possibility that I could lose my job caused me to have a lot of interest in Cooties19 and the response to it. I have very little interest in what goes on in Eastern Europe. I am relaxing a little now without the constant barrage of Cootie Fear.

Might as well report here that California (and Oregon and Washington) are lifting the indoor mask mandate. Lifting March 2 for most places, March 11th for schools. You will still need to mask on planes, trains, and busses, and high-risk areas like hospitals and nursing homes. I think this is great news, especially for the children. It's been interesting to see the comments on the local online "newspaper". Many people are declaring they will continue to wear their mask. I'm like, "What? Forever?" Given what we know know about how lethal this disease is (not), if they are still that frightened, I'm thinking maybe they will wear their mask for the rest of their life. I guess we'll see.

And given that Cooties19 is fading a away, I can see that this forum may be fading away too. Before that happens, I want to thank JMG so much for hosting this site! It was pretty bad for a while there, and this site was a real lifeline for me. About two years ago when JMG declared the topic shall not be mentioned, I felt a little abandoned. I'm so glad things didn't stay that way. I'm also glad you decided not to take a month off this winter. I value your insights, especially when there is a lot going on. And there's certainly a lot going on! Thank you JMG.

And Thank You to all the other posters. You're a smart bunch!

Okay, after almost two years, why is this the first time I've heard the term Cooties-19?

I am totally using Cooties-19 - perhaps styled as COOTIES-19 - from here on in.

I also am incredibly grateful for this forum for similar reasons. I don't think "Cooties 19" is necessarily fading away. What happens to the immune systems of the people who vaxxed and boosted? What happens to the people who got the vax but now won't take the boosters?

There are still vaxx requirements for travel, many jobs, many universities, the military, etc and a lot of the vaxxed up people, from what I'm hearing, are going to be foregoing the booster, no matter what, since they had a tougher time than they admitted at the time on their earlier jabs.

I will be very interested to see what is our host's take on things, and what he decides, presumably with divination, to do or not do.
