Open (More or Less) Post on Covid 29

1. If you plan on parroting the party line of the medical industry and its paid shills, please go away. This is a place for people to talk openly, honestly, and freely about their concerns that the party line in question is dangerously flawed and that actions being pushed by the medical industry et al. are causing injury and death. It is not a place for you to dismiss those concerns. Anyone who wants to hear the official story and the arguments in favor of it can find those on hundreds of thousands of websites.
2. If you plan on insisting that the current situation is the result of a deliberate plot by some villainous group of people or other, please go away. There are tens of thousands of websites currently rehashing various conspiracy theories about the Covid-19 outbreak and the vaccines. This is not one of them. What we're exploring is the likelihood that what's going on is the product of the same arrogance, incompetence, and corruption that the medical industry and its tame politicians have displayed so abundantly in recent decades. That possibility deserves a space of its own for discussion, and that's what we're doing here.
3. If you plan on using rent-a-troll derailing or disruption tactics, please go away. I'm quite familiar with the standard tactics used by troll farms to disrupt online forums, and am ready, willing, and able -- and in fact quite eager -- to ban people permanently for engaging in them here. Oh, and I also lurk on other Covid-19 vaccine skeptic blogs, so I'm likely to notice when the same posts are showing up on more than one venue.
4. If you don't believe in treating people with common courtesy, please go away. I have, and enforce, a strict courtesy policy on my blogs and online forums, and this is no exception. The sort of schoolyard bullying that takes place on so many other internet forums will get you deleted and banned here. No, I don't care if you disagree with that: my journal, my rules.
With that said, as Canadian officials launch a campaign of reprisals against citizens who supported a peaceful protest against government policy, and the words "died suddenly" become the favorite media euphemism of our time, the floor is open for discussion.
computery (ew!) question...
Date: 2022-02-27 10:50 pm (UTC)the fact that he gave Massachusetts Institute of Technology $2.5 million dollars in 1998 money to build an auditorium, then asked to speak in this very same MIT auditorium to give the kids an alternative take, and the fact that MIT declined his request by using the excuse of needing a faculty member to sponsor him (BS! unusual but little broke ass ME in the middle of my bleeding career---mid-cancel-- had someone in the admin track bring me in to Trinity College to speak and perform), because of the fact that even $2.5 mil is meaningless for him to speak, i am haunted by this as i read Christopher Lasch's warning exit book: "The Revolt of the Elites," well... i think i may have to answer that person here who asked when i got nixed by KPOO radio:
"why don't you do a podcast?"
i said i didn't want the hassle. that time for screaming is over. time to make and do things.
but what?...
like the person here who realizes the gov't in Canada put things in neutral ...
i also feel like i'm dead in the water. mask mandates softened but... nothing's changed or changing...
this passivity lethargy aimlessness feels like a ploy. this is how america maybe much of the western world is and was before covid. it feels like a ploy.
because if it were over Steve Kirsch would be able to speak.
so it's not over.
but i'm not sure i wanna take anything on that involves the computer when i'm trying to get back into The Real. The HERE.
however i'm all over eco dream open post and the substack links and Kimberly's site... so i need to get over myself and give BACK.
i'm seeing what Kimberly and her Ogham say first (https://kimberlysteele.dreamwidth.org/) because that's a WHOLE NEW thing and i've got sooo much to do here.
so my question is, IF James and i did a podcast discussing all this stuff, what format would individuals prefer? i'd wanna just put up an mp3 for people to download.
remember: i'm still using a flip phone that will soon be obsolete with 5G and i'm using an old mac powerbook with an operating system that keeps me out of most sites.
but how do you LISTEN? is mp3 fine? or do i have to figure out streaming crap? i don't wanna be on any other site but my own because i don't want to get exiled.
i was gonna do radio to connect with other natural people and not worry about pissing off regular folks. that would've just been a benefit.
this podcast is for those who get what i'm on about and might wanna listen to deeper conversations while they're working on something or doing the dishes or cleaning bathrooms.
thanks in advance. anything else you'd want, let me know. i'm in the dark here.

Date: 2022-02-28 12:49 am (UTC)'My Ogham are "meh" on the podcast idea: they provide Muin or Harvest ill-dignified, meaning that the results wouldn't be all that satisfactory. I sensed they weren't finished with that answer, so I asked them if you should try live streaming, for instance on Twitch, Youtube, or UStream, and they gave an enthusiastic YES. They provide Ur or Intimacy well-dignified, meaning that they believe that live streaming isn't right for everyone, but you would probably be great at it.'
now that's more interesting... as i like the terror and nausea of being LIVE. i'm gonna look into this.
stone soup.

Date: 2022-02-28 03:23 am (UTC)I just imagined something where you 'let er' rip.' Like The Fugs meet Starhawk meet Camile Paglia
meet Lenny Bruce at Burning Man. (I'm dating myself) But it seems it would suit you.

Re: computery (ew!) question...
Date: 2022-02-28 03:08 pm (UTC)you thought they were all streamed and i thought they were all pre-recorded! i'd forgotten about streaming. but YES! i hear you! James wanted to talk to Starhawk, too. we're dating OURSELVES but do i care? anything AFTER us is rabid fluff.
i don't trust anyone under 50.
thank you for planting that idea into my head. i guess the time for screaming is never over after all.
(smile)
live is interesting because you go into another ..."place." i dig it. a LOT.

Date: 2022-02-28 02:41 pm (UTC)For editing I use GarageBand (which comes with every Apple laptop), and then to edit, well, it just takes some time and it's a bit tedious.
Sound clips you pay for (many sites sell them), or make them yourself, plus there are also some you can get for free.
To get beyond YT, it's important to use a podcast hosting service (podomatic is the one I use, but there are many others).
Once you've got your podcast up online, you can send it to iTunes and other podcast sites for RSS feed. Google or, better yet, DuckDuckGo and there's a ton of information about how to do get your podcast out there.
It takes a little time to figure it out, but you know what, it isn't rocket science.
What's difficult about podcasting isn't so much doing the podcast, but doing one that people want to listen to, and finding and keeping those listeners. Of course, it certainly helps to have a podcast professionally recorded and professionally edited. But speaking as a listener, as long as it isn't Totally Horrible sound quality, I care a lot more about WHO I am listening and WHAT they are telling me.
In sum: If you have something you believe is important to say and you have the passion to get it out there no matter what, I say, go for it. Don't let all the technological aspects hold you back. If all you can do right now is livestream onto YT, hey, that works.
PS YT isn't the only show in town. Check out Odysee, Bitchute, Rumble, and so on.
Good wishes!
Re: computery (ew!) question...
Date: 2022-02-28 04:03 pm (UTC)and all the edits you speak of are the opposite of what i want-- i wanted to do a podcast live in a cafe for the interruptions like the olden days when artists and thinkers still lived here, but James said people are too stupid here now to make any interruptions worth keeping.
i'd have to say that these days i concur.
but i wanna stream live audio. we both have electronic audio equipment because i sold off all my video and camera equipment when my career died. and i think quality sound is waaaay more important than even good visuals. but these ideas don't want or need visuals. they'd just distract.
besides i wish no one ever knew what i looked like so i could be more stealthy with my obnoxiousness. James says i can NEVER hide and be stealth girl. but i try. as i'm growing my hair bigger than it's ever been, it's in a bun atop my head all the time because combing/washing/combing it in the bathtub can easily take an hour.
and i'm not gonna promote beyond a little bit. i like to think if i do anything and it spreads via word-of-mouth i DESERVE to stick around. that's why i never actively "sold" my own books or works. i don't wanna talk anyone into-- i don't wanna PITCH anyone. if you need or want it, then take it.
otherwise, life is too short.
i plan on having at most 17 fans because that's the most i've ever had my entire career. that's my magic number for when i'm killin' it. 5 is a crowd enough for me and this.

i don't want to sign up for anything anywhere and lose all my content when i'm canceled again as with mailchimp. i considered getting a dreamwidth name so i don't have to sign my name (i try not to forget), but i don't want more passwords or the cancer of the innerwebs to metasticize more tentacles into my life that i want more real less online.
