1. If you plan on parroting the party line of the medical industry and its paid shills, please go away. This is a place for people to talk openly, honestly, and freely about their concerns that the party line in question is dangerously flawed and that actions being pushed by the medical industry et al. are causing injury and death. It is not a place for you to dismiss those concerns. Anyone who wants to hear the official story and the arguments in favor of it can find those on hundreds of thousands of websites.
2. If you plan on insisting that the current situation is the result of a deliberate plot by some villainous group of people or other, please go away. There are tens of thousands of websites currently rehashing various conspiracy theories about the Covid-19 outbreak and the vaccines. This is not one of them. What we're exploring is the likelihood that what's going on is the product of the same arrogance, incompetence, and corruption that the medical industry and its tame politicians have displayed so abundantly in recent decades. That possibility deserves a space of its own for discussion, and that's what we're doing here.
3. If you plan on using rent-a-troll derailing or disruption tactics, please go away. I'm quite familiar with the standard tactics used by troll farms to disrupt online forums, and am ready, willing, and able -- and in fact quite eager -- to ban people permanently for engaging in them here. Oh, and I also lurk on other Covid-19 vaccine skeptic blogs, so I'm likely to notice when the same posts are showing up on more than one venue.
4. If you don't believe in treating people with common courtesy, please go away. I have, and enforce, a strict courtesy policy on my blogs and online forums, and this is no exception. The sort of schoolyard bullying that takes place on so many other internet forums will get you deleted and banned here. No, I don't care if you disagree with that: my journal, my rules.
With that said, as more and more vaccinated people call in sick with the disease the vaccine was supposed to keep them from getting, and the euphemism "died suddenly" sounds like a repeated drumbeat in the media, the floor is open for discussion.
The Last Unvaccinated
Date: 2022-01-20 03:33 pm (UTC)In the spring of 2024, after a long campaign there remained only, in the whole of Canada, a single individual who hadn’t yet received a Covid vaccine. His name was Bob, and he was a resident of a village in Ontario.
Bob was subject to a great amount of ire from the media and government officials, especially as Covid case numbers continued to rise.
“It is a pandemic of the unvaccinated Bob!” exclaimed Prime Minister Trudeau in a recent press conference. “Health Canada officials trace 109,117 cases to Bob’s movements last Thursday alone”, thundered a recent Globe and Mail headline. A tearful interview with a marketing executive from a high profile Canadian insurance company did the rounds on social media. This executive was very, very worried about Bob’s unvaccinated status - despite her being a resident of British Columbia.
Children got together last fall for the first annual Burn Bob night (inspired by Guy Fawkes night) where the straw figure of Bob was thrown into a bonfire, to cheers from everyone.
A small army of journalists formed a permanent camp around Bob’s property. Of course, they maintained the new social distancing requirements of 7 kilometres, and kept track of Bob with the use of drones.
At first, Bob fought back as best he could from the limits of his property, where he was kept socially isolated. Often with a sense of sarcasm, like the time he erected signs on all four sides of his property, facing outward, that said “Troll Farm: this way”. The media and the public tittered at this almost joyfully.
But as time went on, Bob settled into a routine that eventually didn’t hold much interest for the public. He spent time in his increasingly lush vegetable garden, and he painstakingly fixed up an old battered piano that someone had given him before the pandemic that he never had time to fix before. Commentators eventually complained that keeping track of him was another form of “slow TV”.
One day, a daring journalist got close enough to shout at Bob “Why don’t you get your damn vaccine and just end all of this?” Bob looked up from his book, surprised for a second, then looked back down and replied “Hater’s gonna hate” and kept reading peacefully. The intrepid journalist later went into self-isolation for the required year.
Eventually a new crisis reared its head in the world, and the media shifted its attention to sow divisions and profit from it as best it could. Bob’s neighbours stayed well away from him for a long time, but as Covid faded into the collective memory, and the Burn Bob festival became the Burn Bad People festival, they grew curious.
They wondered at the sound of Chopin’s Raindrop prelude being played rather well from Bob’s land. They noticed an attractive wooden stand on the edge of his property, full of apples, tomatoes, and juicy produce of all kinds, and were surprised at the sign which said “Take some! Just leave me a little change.”
Increasingly, they began to speak to Bob again, who had somehow developed all sorts of useful skills. He was asked to handle some carpentry work, the Lions Club invited him to play the piano at a community event, and gradually their unease faded.
But Bob never said a word to anyone about Covid or the pandemic for the rest of his life. It appeared, strangely for some of his more thoughtful neighbours, that he didn’t seem to need to.

Date: 2022-01-20 05:30 pm (UTC)I'm willing to bet that most people who currently find themselves in Bob's situation are having revenge fantasies and biding their time while making detailed plans to off the vaxxed as soon as their various illnesses kick in.
Whilst we must all make it a goal to become more "fully-realized" beings in each incarnation, we must also admit that there are times when our humanness will get the best of us.

Date: 2022-01-20 08:58 pm (UTC)I don't spend my time on revenge fantasies-- really, I don't-- that's pretty low vibe stuff. I consider the people around me unfortunate in having fallen for the scam and taken poison. The ones pushing the poison, well, they'll get their karma, whether here or hereafter or both.
Mainly I work on my own life, which is good right now, and making it better. In the past months I've been doing a lot of work and planning.
Because of this forum I don't feel quite so alone as I would have otherwise.
I like the tinkering with the piano analogy.

Date: 2022-01-21 08:23 am (UTC)I have no desire for vengeance against the majority of my fellow NZ'ers, despite whats been said and done. I actually feel sorry and for them and disappointing that I used to hold my country in such high regard.
Today on my weekly trip into town - I once again "forgot my mask"....I was not challenged in 4/5 shops I went to including Pak'n'Save. I was the only one unmasked. The only stickler was the haridresser....so I guess Im buying a set of hair clippers and Ill be sporting a number 3 shave likely from this point on. I dont suspect Ill ever pay for a haridresser again....actually will save a couple of hundred dollars a year in todays money every year going forward and the clippers will pay it self of in about 6 months - so overall a win!!!!
