The photo? One of my readers mentioned a little while back that a namesake of mine was a R&B saxophonist back in the 1940s and 1950s. I decided to check him out, and here he is in all his musical glory. Check out one of his tunes here. As far as I know, he's not a relative, though you never know -- there's been far more interracial marriage in American history, to say nothing of less formal interactions, than anybody likes to admit in these polarized times. If he does turn out to be a distant cousin I won't be unhappy.
(If Big John Greer was an occultist, that fact didn't make it into his online bios, but of course it's always possible -- between hoodoo on one end of the African-American community, and a plethora of urban magical lodges on the other end, there was no shortage of black American occultism when his career was rolling...)
I've had several people ask about tipping me for answers here, and though I certainly don't require that I won't turn it down. You can use the button above to access my online tip jar. Date: 2021-11-15 11:35 pm (UTC)The end of the Romanovs should have been a sign to the world of the dangers of monarchy...while not wrong when there is a true King, it is a great evil when pretenders to the throne who are unwilling to protect their people and instead use them for their own gain. The Romanovs had become the essence of everything that is wrong with monarchy, and it was too late by the time Nicholas and Alexandra tried to set it right. In them, we learn the folly of blood lines as being the defining characteristic of a monarch.
This is the mistake made by "Simon" - the bloodline of the Lion/Leo in Israel. Bloodlines are meant to be spread, not spared! Simon is most grand, but not to rule over others. Israel is the mystery of the Zodiac. Approach it from this point and it won't matter if we share the same mythology or theology...because we will be able to communicate beyond those limitations. Astrology is the key to universal communication...

Date: 2021-11-16 12:31 am (UTC)For a number of years in High School and College I dated a schoolmate who came from that community. One year I went with her and some of her Russian friends to the grand Masquerade Ball that the Russian émigré community held in San Francisco every year. The first prize for men was won that year by a very elderly Russian who wore his old uniform from his days as a cadet in the foremost military academy of Tsarist Russia. My date commented, every year one of those old military uniforms wins the first prize.
At that time (late 1950s - early 1960s) there was a Russian-language organization for boys and young men equivalent to the Boy Scouts (but quite independent of American Scouting), who were called Razvedchiki. Every year, my friend told me on another occasion, there was a special Panikhida (funeral service) for the Scouts who had died the year before. "Were there so many?" I asked. She replied, "Oh yes, some of the older Scouts are smuggled into Russia every year to sabotage the Communist regime. Most of them are probably soon caught and executed, because we stop hearing from them. But there are always lots of other young men eager to take their places." It was an open secret among the émigrés that the Razvedchiki cooperated heavily with the US intelligence services (at that time, chiefly with the CIA). But even without CIA involvement, there would have been plenty of young men eager to do and die in order to restore the last Tsar's heir to the Russian throne. I don't quite remember the name of that heir after so many years, but if I am not mistaken, he had been living in Paris. All my émigré friends knew who he was, and some households even displayed his picture,
