I'm reading your book Monsters, and the part on demonic obsession seems creepily relevant to the Covid situation: people who, no matter how rational they may be in other areas of life, push one idea or set of ideas as far as possible, regardless of how destructive they are. Well, the comfortable classes seem to have decided to push for as close as they can get to zero Covid risk, regardless of how destructive it is; and now are pushing that everyone must get vaccinated, no matter how little it helps them, how much it harms them, and no matter the other consequences.
Do you think this might be demonic? I've tried to come up with alternative explanations, but this seems like one of the simplest....
