4-Fold Breath and Cabalistic Cross

I am using the "Learning Ritual Magic" book you co-wrote and have a questions. I'm on lesson two, and have started doing the Cabalistic cross daily but don't quite get what it is about other than visualizing four energy centers. Is the meaning something that becomes clear the more you do it?

Yes. In fact, most of magic belongs to the category of things that you can't understand except through experience.

Thank you for your response! Quick follow-up. I've also noticed that when I face east to do the Cabalistic cross I can feel or sense something at about 115 degrees from magnetic north (used a compass to measure it this evening). When I am lined up with it it feels like (to use the best simile I can muster)that I am looking at an old LCD screen straight on). But if I am slightly off angle, the feeling fades rather quickly, like I am looking at a (non-backlit) LCD screen from an angle where the image gets worse. I am not sure what to make of it.

Hmm! Interesting. If you go outside and look in that direction, what do you see?
