Re: Astrological Hindsight
Date: 2021-05-24 01:59 pm (UTC)With the Sun (representing the head of government) in the 4th House (representing, among other things, the political opposition), President Trump found himself as a figure of political opposition against the liberal institutions which have much more control over the Washington regime than he ever did. The judiciary (Sun also ruling the 9th House) identified with the opposition against Trump as they sought to sabotage him and protect the rioters during the summer.
With Neptune as the ruler of the 4th House being sextile to Saturn (prominent influence in the 2nd House of the national economy) and Venus (ruler of the 6th House of public health as well as the 7th of foreign relations and 11th of the lower legislature and local governments), this indicates that the public health crisis and its consequences were beneficial for the Democrats and helped them win the election. Notable also is the help the Democrats got from many of those local governments and authorities during the election dispute.
Mercury in this chart is the ruler of 10th House of the executive branch of government (as well as the 8th House of foreign trade) and he is in his Fall in Pisces in the 3rd House – this indicates that the governing party, the Republicans, were in a weak position and could not overcome the influence of Big Tech censorship. Mercury does have a sextile to Uranus in this chart, and Uranus is ruler of the house Mercury is in (the 3rd House of media, transport and communication), but because of Uranus' poor condition, this was of little help. This suggests that there was potential to crack down on Big Tech censorship and make use of various media to Trump's benefit, but it was wasted. Foreign trade also suffered during this time.
With the Moon in Aquarius in the 3rd House, there's the suggestion here that the politically active classes would use the media (much more effectively than Trump's team did) to advocate for social reform and even violent revolution, which in practice was intended to remove Trump. This rhetoric heated up considerably during the summer riots and continued afterwards. The Moon's square to Venus is indicative of the high social tensions during the period.
All of these factors put together might give a good astrological explanation as to why the events of 2020 turned out the way they did for Trump and for Biden.
