"They further saw the King of the Earth sink, and heard him cry out in an eager voice, 'Whoever saves me shall live and reign with me forever in my brightness on my royal throne,' and night enveloped all things. [...] Meaning, in this masterly art: 'Deprive the thing of its destructive moisture, and renew it with its own essential one which will become its perfection and life.'"
The image is the seventh illustration from Splendor Solis. It shows, in the distance, an old king in the water, struggling and crying out to be saved. In the foreground stands a young king in a golden robe bathed in the light of the sun and a brilliant star.
Ask me anything ***about occultism*** (ahem) and I'll do my best to answer it. Any question received by midnight Monday Eastern time will get an answer. (Any question received after then will not get an answer, and will likely just be deleted.) If you're in a hurry, or suspect you may be the 143,916th person to ask a question, please check out the very rough version 1.0 of The Magic Monday FAQ here.
I've had several people ask about tipping me for answers here, and though I certainly don't require that I won't turn it down. You can use the button above to access my online tip jar. Have an Eggsellant Break!
Date: 2020-12-28 09:26 am (UTC)I seem to remember you posted some sort of shield/protection practice that was called something like "The Druid Egg." It was similar to the Sphere of Protection but much simpler and involved different ritual components. None of the boolean strings I punch into google bring up anything specific enough, so:
a) Is the Druid Egg Shield compatible with CGD practice?
b) If yes, where might I find the full instructions for this egg shield thingamajig?

Date: 2020-12-28 11:01 pm (UTC)c) In the CGD the inhaling and exhaling of light exercise calls for visualizing "colourless light." I've never seen colourless light unless it's bright white light, so that's what I've been using. I've experimented with trying to visualize that "bright feeling" you get from being blinded by something bright, as well as seeing all the existing colours on my body grow brighter, but none of these seem to work as well as just using white light. How do I visualize "colourless light" the correct way?
d) During the Rite of Rays sometimes new more explicit visualizations jump into my mind when visualizing the star that hovers just above my head. Instead of my usual bright point of white light sometimes it's a star that looks like a glittering many-faceted diamond, other times a burning ball of flame. On days where it doesn't forcefully pop into my visualizations I've practiced using these new stars versus my old simpler star, and there doesn't seem to be a noticeable difference between them. Is it advisable to incorporate these embellishments into the ritual or should I stick as close to the simpler instructions in the CGD? I'm assuming orthodoxy is important when tapping into an astral pattern and its egregore, right?
