eclipseA couple of updates that may be of interest to my readers:

To begin with, my mundane astrology project is proving to be well worth the time and effort I'm putting into it -- many thanks to everyone who's subscribed to it!  (If you're not familiar with this, by all means check it out on my SubscribeStar or Patreon pages.)

I've decided, after quite a bit of reflection, to move my eclipse charts from now on to the $10-a-month subscription tier. Partly that's because they're taking more time than I'd expected, and partly because I need something to offer my higher-tier subscribers once I finish the current series of posts on the December 21 Grand Mutation.

The Grand Mutation charts for the US and Britain have already been posted, and I'm working on the delineation of the next 199 years of India's history, with charts for Japan and Australia still to come. After that, I plan on delineating the next Great Conjunction, which will take place in 2040, and then the next Grand Mutation, which won't be until 2219 and will mark the next major turning point in world history.

In the meantime, I've already posted a delineation for the penumbral lunar eclipse coming up on November 30, and am working on the chart for the December 14 solar eclipse, which will take place the day the Electoral College is scheduled to meet here in the US, and is in the 10th house of politics as seen from Washington DC. (Oog.)  Charts for the Capricorn ingress for the five nations I currently track will be following promptly, and then it's on to the next set of eclipses and ingresses!

***Update to the update:  my predictions for the December 14th solar eclipse are up on both sites. Next up are the Capricorn ingress charts, and I also plan on delineating the inauguration chart for whoever ends up as US president on January 20th, and doing that as a public post. The inauguration -- well, let's just say it's a very, very interesting chart.***

BookshopIn other news, I've set up an online shop for most of my books with Bookshop.org, an online firm that works with independent booksellers online and off.  The pages on my blog with links to my books -- which I've never really had time to maintain properly -- have been replaced by a connection to my Bookshop page. Full disclosure:  I get a cut from Bookshop.org for sales through my store, which more than makes up for the considerable discounts Bookshop is able to offer.  (It's associated with Ingram, the largest distributor of independent publishers in the market, which is why they can rival the discounts at that big online retailer.) By all means check it out, and let me know if you have any problems with it; currently it's only active in the US, but that should change early next year.

Despite the crazed gibbering currently coming out of the US political system and a good many of its equivalents elsewhere, in other words, life goes on -- and all things considered, if any of you are thinking of devoting more time to your spiritual lives, a case could be made that this is a very good time for that...

Not in the US

Hi JMG

Bookshop.org looks awesome! Unfortunately for me I'm in NZ so not likely to see much from them any time soon. Do you know if there's a way for a book shop that's not in the US of UK to approach them and get the discounted price to ship it to their door as a special order from a customer?

Thanks!

Hi JMG,
On the bookshop site, there doesn't appear to be a way to leave reviews - I would be very happy to review those of your books that I have read. Perhaps this feature could be added?
Do you have somewhere that you would prefer people left reviews?

So my decision to start LRM on November 1 sounds like a good one then...

As for the eclipse, just how ugly does it look like it will get? I tried delinating it, but I'm still learning how to read a chart. Either I'm misreading it or it looks like it'll be a doozy....

A World Full of Gods

From: (Anonymous)
Hi John. I was actually over there this morning, looking for one of your titles, a book that relates (as many of yours do of course) to the last paragraph in your post: A World Full of Gods. I didn't see that one in the bookstore but maybe I'll check again, before I look at a different seller (not the monolith you mentioned however).

Looking forward to the upcoming astrological reports. & congrats on the success of your mundane astrology project.

I have a feeling this would push your workload into untenable territory, so forgive the question if it overextends, but would you ever consider doing comprehensive retrospectives on some of your charts once they finish playing out? Especially as eventful as 2020 has been, I’d be very interested in seeing your perspectives on what surprised you, what you learned, and on the role the eclipses seem to have had this year in modifying the ingress charts once the astrological rubble of 2020 stops bouncing at the end of March.

Congrats!

Solar eclipse

From: (Anonymous)
After looking up the details of the electoral process a day or two ago, I noticed there's a new moon on the day the Electoral College meets, and thought it didn't seem particularly auspicious. But I had no idea there was a solar eclipse. From an election standpoint - that's bad, isn't it?

Australian chart

From: (Anonymous)
Hi John Michael,

Is it possible to only purchase the Australian chart from you when it is available?

Sorry to not have an interest in other parts of the world. It is perhaps a personal failing, which I'm considering writing about. But yes, your advice in the very last paragraph is wise indeed. Down here in this fragile old land, well, a good case could be made that the spiritual world and the material world are perhaps more closely interlinked than people currently realise.

Cheers

Ever since deciding to make an effort reading, I've had a lot of spiritual advancement and found more opportunities for expanding it. These experiences and knowledge have been incredibly meaningful, especially during this time. I'm glad to hear that it is in part because now is a good time for it!

I'm also glad you've found a better way to access your books while also making it more profitable to you. The next time I buy one of your books it'll be through Bookshop.org .. Thanks for always making your ideas accessible.

Very happy to hear about the bookstore. I hope Canada gets added. I didn't see Twilight's Last Gleaming. Our copy got loaned out and never returned to us. Very Sad.

Regarding the astrology blog: I thought the $10 tier was going to involve more teaching. I finally ordered the mundane astrology books you recommended. They arrived today. I haven't found a program that will generate a chart quite like yours but I used AstroSeek's birth chart generator to print a Grand Mutation chart for Canada. Wish me luck.

Druid Magic Handbook

From: (Anonymous)
Hm, I see in the book shop that Weiser is bringing out a new edition of the Druidry Handbook. That's nice! If they are minded to revisit the Druid Magic Handbook as well, here's one sure customer for a deluxe over-the-top edition like the Dolmen Arch. I'm halfway through the book, and doubt that it will hang together long enough for me to finish it.

JMG,

all in all, the options of turning the whole life toward transcendence and detachment like you noted in the essay "the Long View" appear as the sanest at this moment.

I was bit uprooted by the pandemic fall-out, here in Poland and it seems that I've not collapsed and avoided the rush in time, but life do go on. Thank you once again for hosting the place where sanity on Internet can be found.

Congratulations !
More for you, more for independents and less for Amazon ! Win win win.
I'll have a word with Watkins when they reopen - good for them too.
With all of these and whatever few are not (yet) on this system I make it over 70 books in print. Wowser.

JMG,

Have you seen that the senior manager for Dominion Voter Systems has been exposed as an Antifa sympathiser, and his name, believe it or not, is Dr. Coomer. And he has been exposed during No Nut November! This is possibly the most Kekist thing that has ever happened:

Happy to see the Bookshop site, synchronistically I just found out about Bookshop this week! I’m going to be canceling my Amazon prime and buying all my books through that platform now.
Are you hinting that astrologically it is a good time to work on our spiritual lives, or is it just in general a good idea right now?

I’ve managed to get an online copy of the Druid Magic Handbook. I remember reading that this is not meant to be free, so I’ve not used it yet. It is however in my “virtual possession “. Shall I tip you in the tip jar? Or what would you prefer?

In what way is the inauguration chart effective, since it is neither an eclipse chart nor an ingress chart?
