thank you for posting this! I started with the DMH version of the sphere so I will follow your advice and keep on practicing it for now. As you said the visualizations for the circulation of light are tricky, even with a ball as a visual aid. Maybe some of your readers can share the ways they finally accomplished the full viisualzation?
I manage a stable rotation in two directions, but the third still feels very wobbly and the picture is not very clear yet...
