bugs for the winWe are now into the fifth year of these open posts. When I first posted a tentative hypothesis on the course of the Covid phenomenon, I had no idea that discussion on the subject would still be necessary all these years later, much less that it would turn into so lively, complex, and troubling a conversation. Still, here we are. Crude death rates and other measures of collapsing public health remain anomalously high in many countries, but nobody in authority wants to talk about the inadequately tested experimental Covid injections that are the most likely cause; public health authorities government shills for the pharmaceutical industry are still trying to push through laws that will allow them to force vaccinations on anyone they want; public trust in science is collapsing; new revelations are leaking out about just how bad the Covid vaccines are for human health; and the story continues to unfold.

So it's time for another open post. The rules are the same as before:

1. If you plan on parroting the party line of the medical industry and its paid shills, please go away. This is a place for people to talk openly, honestly, and freely about their concerns that the party line in question is dangerously flawed and that actions being pushed by the medical industry and its government enablers are causing injury and death on a massive scale. It is not a place for you to dismiss those concerns. Anyone who wants to hear the official story and the arguments in favor of it can find those on hundreds of thousands of websites.

2. If you plan on insisting that the current situation is the result of a deliberate plot by some villainous group of people or other, please go away. There are tens of thousands of websites currently rehashing various conspiracy theories about the Covid-19 outbreak and the vaccines. This is not one of them. What we're exploring is the likelihood that what's going on is the product of the same arrogance, incompetence, and corruption that the medical industry and its wholly owned politicians have displayed so abundantly in recent decades. That possibility deserves a space of its own for discussion, and that's what we're doing here.

3. If you plan on using rent-a-troll derailing or disruption tactics, please go away. I'm quite familiar with the standard tactics used by troll farms to disrupt online forums, and am ready, willing, and able -- and in fact quite eager -- to ban people permanently for engaging in them here. Oh, and I also lurk on other Covid-19 vaccine skeptic blogs, so I'm likely to notice when the same posts are showing up on more than one venue.

4. If you plan on making off topic comments, please go away. This is an open post for discussion of the Covid epidemic, the vaccines, drugs, policies, and other measures that supposedly treat it, and other topics directly relevant to those things. It is not a place for general discussion of unrelated topics. Nor is it a place to ask for medical advice; giving such advice, unless you're a licensed health care provider, legally counts as practicing medicine without a license and is a crime in the US. Don't even go there.

5. If you don't believe in treating people with common courtesy, please go away. I have, and enforce, a strict courtesy policy on my blogs and online forums, and this is no exception. The sort of schoolyard bullying that takes place on so many other internet forums will get you deleted and banned here. Also, please don't drag in current quarrels about sex, race, religions, etc. No, I don't care if you disagree with that: my journal, my rules.

6. Please don't just post bare links without explanation. A sentence or two telling readers what's on the other side of the link is a reasonable courtesy, and if you don't include it, your attempted post will be deleted.

7. Please don't post LLM ("AI") generated text. This is a place for human beings to talk to other human beings, not for the regurgitation of machine-generated text. Also, please don't discuss large language models (the technology popularly and inaccurately called "artificial intelligence" these days) except as they bear directly on the Covid phenomenon. Here again, my finger is hovering over the delete button.

Please also note that nothing posted here should be construed as medical advice, which neither I nor the commentariat (excepting those who are licensed medical providers) are qualified to give. Please take your medical questions to the licensed professional provider of your choice.

With that said, the floor is open for discussion.

Dear JMG and dear forumistas,

Thank you.

Yesterday, after lovely and long overdue catch-up conversation, I was sharply reminded, once again, that the communications abyss that opened up some years ago with the advent of convid remains in place, ever deeper and ever darker, between me and some of my oldest and previously closest friends. One pair in particular. For a few years now they've been suffering from all sorts of "doctors are baffled" issues from allergies to cardiac, hematologic and digestive, and now they tell me they've taken the latest covid booster. How many shots have they taken? I don't know, I wouldn't ask, but if they're taking boosters now in the winter of 2026 that number would likely be north of 10 each.

Much as I have looked, I do not see a way across that abyss.

It's a beautiful day out where I am, light filtering through trees. Now I'm going to put some marrow bones in the oven for the dogs.

Amusing Coof lockdown effect

Atmospheric scientists were a bit perplexed at some of the things happening during the coof lockdowns (with subsequent lessening of auto travel.) One was that methane concentrations in the atmosphere went UP; they expected them to go down. Now they’ve identified a likely mechanism:
https://cen.acs.org/environment/atmospheric-chemistry/covid-shutdowns-methane-spike-emissions/104/web/2026/02

Summary: the NOx pollutants produced by ICEs apparently, via a step or two, destroy atmospheric methane. So fewer cars and such pumping out NOx meant that LESS methane was being destroyed. Methane, BTW, is a far more potent greenhouse gas than CO2.

This is reminiscent of the 9/11 contrail effect (no jets, no contrails, no stratospheric soot, higher surface temps) and the post-Soviet warming effect of soviet-era factories suddenly being shuttered, cleaning the air of soot over Eurasia which caused a sudden spike up of surface temps because sunlight wasn’t being attenuated by the pollutants. Reduce human pollution and you may get noticable effects on weather and climate, and often those changes are “worse” rather than “better” (I put those in quotes as, meh, with such a complex system who can really say with any authority what’s good or bad.) 🤷‍♂️

JMG, I hope your grumpiness has passed. As a possible de-grump nudge, I offer:
A horse walks into a bar. The bartender pauses from cleaning a glass and asks: “Hey buddy, how come the long face?” 😊

PS I mean to say with that last line, I'm taking it one day at a time, and I am grateful for my life, and that very much includes the companionship of my dogs. Apart from their food, they are mainly concerned about the doings of the squirrels in the backyard.

It seems to me almost as if a significant part of the quaxxine obedience programme were to systematically divide friend from friend, spouse from spouse, and family members from one another, thus shredding a good deal of the fabric of society and dissolving the glue that holds it together. I can't definitively say that this is deliberate on the part of anyone in particular, I can't prove it even to myself, but it sure does tend to give that impression...

this case has been going on with dr bowden, and ken paxton is standing with her:

REPORT: Texas AG Ken Paxton just blindsided the Texas Medical Board, and [profile] marybowdenmd now stands at the center of a battle that could redefine medical authority nationwide.

In a stunning move, Paxton refused to defend the state’s medical regulator and intervened on Bowden’s behalf, escalating what began as a disciplinary action into a high-stakes constitutional reckoning.

Paxton’s filing accuses the Board of acting out of “personal animosity and spite,” alleging it imposed a public reprimand while disregarding its own protocols and violating Texas law. The State says it stepped in “to protect and defend the citizens of this state from improper conduct” and to prevent “irreparable harm to its sovereignty.”

The reprimand dates back to 2021, when Bowden sought to provide ivermectin to a hospitalized patient while following a court order and legal counsel. The Board sanctioned her anyway. The State now argues the penalty lacked medical expert testimony and was marred by serious due process failures.

This is no longer just about one doctor.

If the court sides with Paxton, the balance of power between doctors and medical boards across America could shift overnight.

It's still sinking in. Over four years of fighting. Now we wait to see how Texas Medical Board will respond.

Yes, this is clear to me, and has been increasingly so since the advent of the covid vaccines. I have lost so many people in my life to this madness— many either died, became demented, and many more, still walking & talking, got sucked into the High Holy Dr. Faux Cheese Cooties Religion.

I have tried to keep my heart open, but it is wearing to be dealing with people who may turn on me. I have had so many conversations with relatives and friends from pre-covid times, and they often seem perfectly sane and understanding, but... nope, not when it comes to anything covid. All sense of human dignity, human rights, all flies out the window and, to them, those who did not rush to get themselves jabbed are "anti-vaxxer kooks."

But enough bellyaching. I just listened to Jodi McGary interview Mark Oshinkskie, and I can warmly recommend it. McGary is the cofounder of No College Mandates and host of the Brownstone Suppers in Bloomington, Indiana. Many of you may know Oshinskie's excellent substack which offers a weekly essay.

I thought I'd share this, it's in main stream news but it does show that there have been a large number of claims related to disabilities from the covid vaccine. It's an article on bbc news this morning about a firm which contracted to assess injury claims but the costs claimed by the company became very high, which the company seems to say is because of the large volume of claims.

I have to say that this looks like a well-constructed law suit, carefully crafted to do an end run around the legal immunity enjoyed by vaccine manufacturers since 1986. Hard to say how it will go, but I wish it every success!

My sympathies on the whole 'my friends went nuts over Covid and the friendship is wrecked'. I'm currently having a similar issue with an old friend. It is painful. I think the friendship is probably dying = covid is only one of many issues we disagree on, and there's communications issues and I feel very unheard and gaslit. I actually picked a fight about the whole thing because I couldn't stand being lectured AGAIN about why the vax mandates/lockdowns etc weren't harsh enough, which is very unlike me. We've tried to talk stuff through but... yeah.

The whole thing was killingly hard on relationships.

And there's no one offline who I can talk about this sort of thing with because everyone is either a true believer, pretending to be, or silent on the issue. I'm silent on the issue these days, with people I know. Some of them know my opinions, or an edited version thereof and we just avoid talking about the issue, most assume I agree with them.

On first blush, this big announcement may not seem to have anything to do with Cooties-19, but bear with me.

Big announcement: the brother of my king, (former) Prince Andrew has been arrested - on his 66th birthday at that. Text of the announcement: "Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been arrested and held in custody on suspicion of misconduct in public office." I wonder if they serve birthday cake in UK jails (or 'gaols' as they spell it over there).

In essence, while he was a trade envoy for the UK, Andrew handed over sensitive market information to the notorious Jeffrey Epstein. Cue to insider trading and the rich illegally looting the markets (as usual). Apparently the release of the Epstein Files has helped police in the UK to tighten the noose around Andrew's neck. I am reminded that Al Capone was first arrested for tax evasion, so I hope that this initial arrest may be the crack that allows serious investigation into his 'PDF-file' crimes.

This is the first time I have ever heard of a member of the royal family of the UK being arrested. I hope they are housing him in the Tower of London - you know, for historical reasons and all that. Some are suspecting that King Charles gave a nod for the arrest; methinks the process of recently de-princing Andrew was the first step in the process. Oh - and speaking of King Charles, a few years ago, several Vedic astrologers predicted that he would be in a wooden box by April of this year. We'll see if that happens.

So, what does this have to do with Cooties-19? Well, due to the efforts of loads of people poring over the Epstein files that have been release so far, it has become apparent that Epstein was a fat spider in the middle of a very big structural web that included funding and enabling the gain-of-function stuff, funding the biotechs in producing the mNRA crap, as well as funding and setting up the horrific industry of medically transitioning "trans" kids - especially at New York's Mount Sinai hospital, if I recall correctly.

Kinda looks like this genie has got too far out of the bottle to put it back in. Carefully crafted narratives and efforts at obscuring, obfuscating, denying, and contradicting truths by the biggest propaganda machine in humanity's history don't seem to cut it anymore. It would be nice if King Charles III were to confess, prior to kicking the bucket, all that he knows of the whole sick affair and gives a green light to the legal arm of the UK government to aggressively pursue all the traitors and sick 'PDF-files' in Westminster, the House of Lords, and other major UK institutions. It is nice when a monarch does at least one good thing during their reign and Charles still has an opportunity to do that - if for no other reason than to convince the public that the House of Windsor is not a total House of Horrors that deserves to be burned to the ground. We'll see; I'm not holding my breath, though. Personally, I'd like Amelia to be the Queen! :)

Since that beheading, the name Charles was rarely seen for British royals. Charles II, the immediate son of the beheaded king, got his name years before his dad's ill fate.

Charles III is the brother of disgraced Andrew - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_III

Indeed - perhaps I should have been more precise: any member of the present royal family (House of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha - aka Windsor). Given what happened to Charles I, I was initially taken aback when Chucky-old-boy decided to be named Charles III when coronated. But I digress.

Kudos to both Oshinskie and McGary for speaking out, and for pushing back on the covidian tyranny. Both are involved with the Brownstone Institute. brownstone.org Oshinski has published some of his essays on the Brownstone website and he gave a talk at one (maybe more?) of the Brownstone Supper Clubs. Joni McGary is a co-founder, with Lucia Sinatra, of No College Mandates and she hosts the Brownstone Supper Club in Bloomington, Indiana. Interestingly, her husband is a doctor— she said that on the podcast.

Brownstone was started by Jeffrey Taylor who, as I understand it, shepherded the 2020 Great Barrington Declaration back at the start of the covidian madness. https://gbdeclaration.org/
It was signed by standouts such as Dr. Jay Battacharya, then on the faculty of Stanford University Medical School. Others from Harvard, Oxford U and so on. Of course Wikipedia says it has "no scientific basis" LOL.

Anyone can go to a Brownstone supper, you don't have to join anything, and more seem to be popping up every month. Just buy a ticket on the website before they sell out. It's basically for your restaurant dinner and drinks, which is maybe not in everyone's budget, but not crazy expensive either.

My two clams: I wouldn't expect to see eye-to-eye on everything with everyone who attends a Brownstone event, and I certainly wouldn't expect to encounter much in the way of understandings concerning metaphysics / occultism, however, in general, as of now (--this could change--), I think this may be one of the places I, and perhaps also some of you reading this, may be able to energize rebuilding local social networks. In any event some of the speakers at the supper clubs look to be interesting.

PS I don't have any role with the Brownstone Institute other than being a long-time and appreciative reader of the many of the essays they publish. And for the record, while I didn't agree with some things in the Great Barrington declaration, I sincerely appreciated the effort, and that it was done and it was uploaded to the Internet where anyone can see it, and that it was signed by name by so many thousands of doctors and scientists.

I just checked — the GB Declaration now has nearly 1 million signatures.

If anyone is feeling thoroughly down over all things covidian, I can recommend a listen to the latest Vaccine Safety Research Foundation livestream with Steve Kirsch and Livio Sanchez interviewing Leslie Manookian and Jill Hines giving some stunningly great news about their lawsuits and legislative efforts for medical freedom. Manookian is the angel who brought the lawsuit to get mask mandates off on US airplanes (and other transportation). Hines has been working on medical freedom legislation for years now.

Steve Kirsch lays on the sarcasm. I found it pretty funny.

There's more on the VSRF livestream, with a lawyer from Children's Health Defense Fund, but I haven't listened to that part yet.

I don't want to be contrarian, but English elite nowadays are all about whitewashing, I think nothing will come out of it.
But it will take a while, until people stop looking.

Actually that I think about Europe is all about whitewashing. As a former civilization and now a defunct power masquerading as touristic place whitewashing is the name of the game. Is all about optics, visit any of these countries get out just a bit of the disney like tours and an ugly reality pops up. In some places the veil that separated the tourist tours and the squalor is no longer there. Europe is full of places where you only visit once. Best places are probably those that have the communities and traditions intact.

That's why I don't trust any of those lawsuits against Pharma coming from Europe, I stopped tracking them did something come out of them?

Your description of who's likely to attend a Brownstone dinner matches my experience. (But I did meet another Ecosophian at a dinner once-- after I remembered that I had met the guy before at a Providence solstice potluck.) There are now 16 supper club locations across the US. All emerged organically from people wanting to duplicate the success of the original.

Small correction: the head of Brownstone is named Jeffrey Tucker. You can listen to him and Bret Weinstein on a recent Dark Horse podcast, where among other things they wrestle with how just to describe all the things Brownstone is doing to promote honest, high quality thinking. I don't know of another organization like it and I'm very grateful it exists.
