Also younger women/girls will have more time for cumulative damage to accumulate for those whose bodies aren't clearing the shots. I know the particular rats are used because they have an accelerated lifecycle but I still (pessimistically) think decades of damage in a human might look different to a couple of months of damage in an accelerated rat.
