2) Start with Mark Stavish's The Path of Alchemy and Frater Albertus's The Alchemists Handbook. After that, I recommend trying your hand at actual alchemical texts: the Splendor Solis and the Book of Lambspring are more accessible than most. Oh, and The Chemical Wedding of Christian Rosenkreutz. After that, you should be prepared to plunge into the literature on your own.
3) Since I don't have a talent for that kind of work I don't have a good sense of the literature. Anyone else?
