Just to say, as a total greenhorn, I appreciated and enjoyed the post. I take it the "experimental" aspect is the way it is presuming a birthdate for the earth itself. I'd be interested in a bit of backstory about Thema Mundi, and whoever worked out that specific date, and what their reasoning involved.
The most definite such "earth birthdate" that I have known of, and I learned it while growing up evangelical, is that of Bishop Ussher, whose calculation that the earth was created at mid-day, 23rd October, 4004BC, is so very, very specific. And also, so very chart-friendly.
