I can't quite explain it, but everything just feels 'off'.
A chocolate cake I made recently (same recipe I've used for 10+ years) no longer tasted particularly good. As far as I can tell, the ingredients were the same, I made it in exactly the same way, but it just tasted bitter and burned (even though it wasn't). I tried to bake it again a week later and had the same result.
Other foods I used to enjoy also just taste bland.
Sunlight used to feel warm and relaxing, now it feels fierce and burning.
People feel like cardboard cut-outs. It's like I can't synchonise with them in conversations any more, things feel really stilted.
Music I used to enjoy just sounds like noise, and I can't understand why I used to like the songs.
The same also goes for video games that I used to like.
I'm struggling to read or enjoy books any more.
I used to enjoy certain parts of my job, now they feel like a pointless chore.
I've had covid, but over a year ago, and am unjabbed. I lost my sense of smell for a few days, but it came back and I can still smell and taste everything correctly. It just no longer seems that great.
Weirdly, I've enjoyed running a lot more than I used to though.
