I'm sorry to cancel the usual question and answer session a second time, but there it is. As I think most of my readers know at this point, my wife Sara is dying; she's been in failing health for a long time, and at this point things are winding up fairly rapidly and I can spare neither the time nor the concentration for the usual flurry of questions. Thank you all for your patience and support, and I'll look forward to an extra lively discussion sometime soon. -- JMG

Thanks for asking! I'm doing about as well as can be expected. I've expected something like this to happen for a good long time, and it's been weeks now since it became clear where it was heading; it also helps that I used to work in nursing homes many years ago, so death isn't unfamiliar to me and I know how to care for a dying person. I've done a lot of crying and a lot of processing, and I won't say it's easy but it's gotten easier.

And yes, I'd welcome prayers.
