Take an old computer hard disk drive apart, and you'll find some of the strongest magnets around, flanking the read-head assembly, on the opposite end of the pivot bearing from the actual read heads (which swing across the disk platters). A small Torx screwdriver or two should be all that you need. These magnets are strong enough that you MIGHT think they're held together by hidden screws.

PS: Be careful around these magnets. If allowed to come freely together, they can collide with such force as to shatter. And they'll pinch any skin that tries to get between them.
