I am also a private person and I was always uncomfortable with “giving testimony” or what have you, and hated that the usual response to my hesitation was something along the lines of, just let the Spirit in, he’s waiting! And then suspicion if I still didn’t respond as expected. Because lacking spiritually was the only possible reason for not wanting to bare my soul to anyone who asked…
