Those certainly did play roles, but -- er, Revival Druidry did in fact go through a series of booms and busts. The largest of those was in the early to mid-19th century, when quite a few people in Britain went cuckoo for Druidry. We were spared the most recent round of boom-and-bust activity, the one that saw Wicca go up with the rocket and down with the stick, mostly because Revival Druids had a reputation for being dull!
