Toward Ecosophy

I'm not overly worried about AI for the same reason I'm not overly worried about currencies going digital. Both, like travel to the stars, are entirely dependent upon an inexhaustible supply of low-cost energy. The cause of the current economic crisis (and hence the desperate grasping on the part of world leaders for autocratic central-control measures like AI and digital currencies) is that low-cost energy is no longer available because society is burning up the fuel faster than new supplies can be found. As the cost of energy rises, so too will the cost of the AI and digital currencies that depend heavily upon it - and at some point they will fail financially, and that will be the end of them. While I don't expect to see that in tomorrow's news, it is coming sooner than anyone involved with it expects, so have your popcorn ready!
