The idea of trauma running through generations of people is quite popular these days. The idea that a person inherits the trauma suffered from their blood ancestors, explained via cellular/genetic processes, is the most common, I believe.
My question to you is if occult traditions acknowledge this phenomenon, and how it works according to occult philosophy. My initial thoughts on the subject seem to point to intergenerational trauma being confused for reincarnation, and how past lives leave marks on us in our current one.
