How do Christian occultists treat the prohibition in Deuteronomy against divination, witchcraft, magic and the like? Is it a matter of the prohibition no longer having any relevance with the coming of Jesus? Or is it a matter of whether magic is being using for “non-selfish reasons”?
(I’m aware that you’re not a Christian occultist, but if my memory is correct, you have mentioned that you have friends who are. Additionally, I believe you made reference to early (Middle Ages?) Christians often using magic, but I’ve never come across an (adequate?) explanation for how they reconciled their practices with the written prohibition)
