Time is a condition of consciousness, and thus subjective at its root. Your metaphor of the divine spark as a needle pulling the thread of time is very apt: matter, energy, and space are the three layers of fabric, time is the thread of consciousness that weaves in and out of it. What we call "objective time" is partly an artifact of the weird habit of using machines to force time into a straitjacket; in a broader sense, yes, it's the consciousness of greater beings, which are also moving in and out of the fabric of a greater reality and pulling us along with them.
