I live next to a little wood teeming with life. I am utterly convinced the wood itself has a personality (personhood? Spirit? Soul?) apart from the constituent animals, plants, spirits, etc, making up its totality. I am going to offer blessings to the wood itself, as well as individual animals, trees, etc.
