Pretty much, Methylethyl -- at least the way I see it.

The Commission has had several such lawyers, who have been rotated throughout the proceedings (sometimes more than one in the same day). Over the past week, it has appeared that the Commission is not as unbiased and objective as it is supposed to be... trying not to make the connections about bureaucrats and politicians being in their own echo-chamber and ignoring police reports/advice; trying to obfuscate evidence of police brutality against protesters; and showing discomfort when protesters emotionally and emphatically talk about the immense psychological and economic harm that the mandates have wreaked on "Joe and Jane Canuck".

I take the unfortunate incident with the Commission lawyer to be an omen that the Commission is being compromised. This is in advance of next week's in-camera (un-public) testimony that will be given by Canada's spy agency (CSIS) in concert with federal politicians. Interesting timing, shall we say!
